Default Need Urgent Advice

I still have not decided about my optional subjects. But I like to get an advice from experts on this forum about my subject selection.

The subjects I am thinking to opt are;
International Relations - 200 Marks
International Law - 100 Marks
Physics - 200 Marks
Punjabi - 100 Marks

I myself is aspirant for css 2016, but as I know science subjects are lethal unless and untill you have full command over it like for physics if you are opting you must have mastered it by doing M.Sc in physics, otherwise it could be lethal for you at the end of day even if you pass essay, it may cause you down.... take suggestion from seniors too and may be seniors agree with me too

Thanks for your suggestion. But I am an electrical engineer and this is the only subject of my interest in all the optionals. I can also expect good score in it. Do you still ask me to leave it?

He also can't guarantee you'll do better if you drop physics. The strategy is to go with your gut. Your intuition. At least this way you have a relatively better chance of doing well (or blame yourself, if not, rather than someone else). If you've looked over the course and the past papers and you feel you can do it, I don't see any reason you should change your mind. Consultation is good, but it's only helpful if its ''helpful''. You don't have much time...if you think you can do it, go for it.

Thank you sir. I know no one can guarantee others performance. It depends on persons own will, determination and hard work. Yes i have looked over the course and past papers. I am not that good in physics but I know in my case it demand little effort to prepare the course than any other subject. My issue is that people even engineer don't adopt science subject. I know some seniors of my university who have passed css exam. But they didn't opt physics. So they are not recommending me to opt it. They are emphasizing on general subjects like public administration , USA history. But i don't have any little idea of them. Also the time is very less. I already have chosen 400 marks subjects which is completely new to me. keeping in view the time span required for preparation and scoring trend kindly tell me is this a good combination or need some amendments?

I am an electrical engineer too, but this physics is no where near my expertise. Along with syllabus try to go through past papers. AS paper setting is a lot different that what we anticipate seeing course. But thumbs up for your courage brother. The difficulty for science subjects as I guess, is if you know, you know BUT If you don't know, there is no way you can tackle it.
