Help Required in Subject Selection and Scoring Trends
 

Dear All,

So finally i have burnt all my boats and i am pursuing my dream of attempting CSS 2017. Since i am 27 years old so this attempt will be my first and last, but as they say better late than never.

I would like to request expert opinion on following questions

1. Accounting 200 vs International Relations 200
I have done BBA (hons) though i have been good at other subjects but always weak and somewhat afraid of subjects involving numbers and complex calculations. At the same time i feel that if i work with my worn out tools i might score good in accounting as compare to International Relations. IR is a new subject to me, interesting but involves risk. Please please advise.

2. My succeeding optional subjects are Business Administration 100 (apna hay), History of USA 100, Gender Studies 100, Mercantile law 100. Please comment on the subject selection in terms of scoring.

If you have done BBA (HONS) it mean you studied all subjects related to Marketing, Finance and HR thoroughly and You have no expertise in any specific field of Business. Accounting and Auditing is one of the high scoring subject for those, who done specialization in MBA and MS, my humble suggestion is opt International Relations. You can also compare IR with Political science, which you find easy and interesting go for that.
Business ad, US history and Gender studies is fine, But now Mercantile Law course has been changed, they include new ordinance which are not teach in the BBA course. So my suggestion is you can opt sociology or regional langauge instead of ML.

How did it go for you?
Ad I'm also preparing for 2019 css and have done BBA hons. But don't know what to opt, as accounting that I have done seems insufficient but if I grasp it. It will score very high.
I'm the other hand international relations is a good subject which overlaps current affairs.
My combination is
International Relations or Accounting and Auditing
Business Administration
US History
Gender Studies
Sociology [i was told to opt Punjabi but I don't think that interests me at all].
