Default Subject selection

Assalam-o-alaikum,

I have been planning to appear in CSS exam in 2017 InshAllah but I am confused about subjects selection. I have done graduation in media studies and subjects that I have chosen are:

01-International relation-200
02-Indo-Pak history-100
03-Journalism-100
04-Sociology-100
05-International law-100

I have heard that subjects weightage and selection from groups have been revised. Though I have emailed FPSC and they sent me a pdf link "revised syllabi for css competitive examination, ce-2016" which was updated on July 2015.
I want to know that whether is it valid for CSS 2017 or they will issue an other in July 2016.

Bro, journalism and socio are in the same group, you can pick only one.

Other than that, good combination.

Thank you so much, GhazMar.

I have replaced Journalism with Gender studies.

01-International relation-200
02-Indo-Pak history-100
03-Gender studies-100
04-Sociology-100
05-International law-100

Is it confirmed that Indo-Pak history has 100 instead of 200 marks for 2017?

In my opinion you should select US history instead of Indo Pak because the subject of US history overlaps with I.relations and I.law

I had same thing in my mind but a few people told me that US history would be difficult to score good marks.

For example you will pass this exam with indo-pak history. Think about the next step interview ( indo-pak history with pak affairs + current affairs) so don't choose subject like that you have to read a-z of that subject and its much difficult
