Default computer science as optional

A.A i need guidance from seniors (especially if there is any computer science student)
i am much confused in opting computer science as my optional cz many people have told me that computer is a low scoring subject. and students with computer always fail.. i am studying political science at this time n not finding it difficult, but i think to change it wit my own subject (as i did Msc (IT).

yesterday i have attend the seminar regarding css of world times i also want to take computer science as optional becouse i did BS(IT) but they told me that their is no such book for preparation and also syllabus too much they thats why dont take it..
as your studying political science it is very diffcult to complete the syllabus of political science You can take that suject which take less time to cover so you should take IR..

While my result for CE-2016 is still awaited, but having opted Computer Science and Physics in CE-2016, I can assure you that these subjects become a piece of cake for anyone having a computer science or electrical engineering background - of course you have to study and burn midnight oil but studying a subject like Political Science which is absolutely alien to us, opting for CS is a judicious decision.

I can help you people prepare the subject.

I have MS in CS and BS in EE.

Regards.

Hi,
Hope my comment is not too late as many have already sent their admissions. It is true that Computer Sciences is a low scoring subject, as i my self am an MCS with above average CGPA throughout the degree. But in CE-2016 i got 40~ range marks in both paper A and paper B. But still it helps alot for a person who is already in IT and Computer Science and save few days from preparation (but doesn't mean you dont have to take a single look ). Also opting for relevant subject helps keep the psychological pressure off during exams upto some extent.

I am writing this late but I wish it can be helpful. I opted CS in 2015 and got 120+ in both. The paper was not too difficult nor too easy but when you already have prior subject command(degree) you can go for it.
The only reason i can give in favor of not opting it if you don't have programming background(job, not a good programmer) because in 2016 paper the examiner asked to write code( with proper classes, functions).

I studied from recommended books because I already had almost all.

Default CS scope in CSS

AOA everyone.

Well I am a lecturer of computer science and have good background knowledge of a few extra subjects. I am really having difficulty choosing Optionals. Can anybody help me to which way I should go and how to order things. Any help is appreciated. I have given a try to get a few subjects list down for me

1- Computer Science (As I, myself am a lecturer I can cover this subject well and can find relative information quite easy then the non computer science Aspirants)
2- Sindhi (well course is quite lengthy, but because its my mother tongue I selected it)
3- Journalism (Easy and gives majority of help in other subjects as well like in Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs)
4- Indo-Pak history or Islamic Studies (Culture) ...

Well i am really stuck in these subjects ... which direction should I go ... whether to opt Sindhi or drop it in case I can get Mercantile Law which is much easier and get more marks and Which history subject should I go for.

Thanks I am really helpful for any one who can guide me in the right direction.

I have MCS and I will never let go computer science. Period!

They taught us about 20 subjects in computer science and I can see almost all of them are included in CSS computer science syllabus.
