Default Gender Studies or Environmental Science?

Assalam o alaikum everyone! Kindly help me in selection b/w Environmental Science and Gender Studies. I am from an engineering background and apparently I'm a beginner for both. I'll keep in mind the length and comprehension of the subject, if anyonen knows about them, please help.

Jazak'Allah!

I'm also facing the same choice. ES is enticing because almost everyone of CE16 scored decently (some even scored ridiculously high) in it. GS, on the other hand, yielded average marks but its paper looked quite easy with a lot of room for putting in the general information. My bent for GS comes from my literature background where I have already learnt the basics of feminist theory.

ES' brilliant yield, I guess, is down to a more definite and scientific nature of the subject while GS involves a lot of theory and abstraction so there is a high chance of things going awry.

For me, it would come down to how much time I feel I have for the fifth subject. With ample time I would definitely go for ES and if I am running out of time GS should be a safe bet for me.

Also, ES covers a portion of GSA too. On the other hand, GS comes handy in essay. I know zilch about GS, do you think going for it will yield some good marks for me?

And an off the topic question: i just read somewhere that a person with a D grade in semester system isn't eligible to take the exam. Is it true, do you have any idea?

With the engineering background, you'd be better off with ES, IMO. But GS is no rocket science, you should be able to figure it out easily.

and about the D grade, I can't say anything with certainty. I think it should be the CGPA that should decide your eligibility rather than one's grade in a single subject.

I might go for ES. I have heard GS is a little bit controversial. And got cleared about that D grade thing. I had misunderstood the statement.
