As far as your allocation in FSP is concerned, It does not depands upon subject selection. You just have to score as mucht as possible to achieve the target.

All subjects you have shared are quite favourable in terms of securing marks. So, if you are comfortable with them, go with them. Good Luck

Hi....!
CSS is a single exam for all departments of civil service in Pakistan so, there are not any specific subjects for any group. You need to select subjects from syllabus according to subject selection rules, your academic background, aptitude, interest and marks trend of past papers.
Here is link of complete syllabus
http://www.cssforum.com.pk/syllabus.pdf

&

Here is link of latest CSS rules:
http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/user/page.php?page_id=1253.

About choosing subjects: You are interested in political science, public administration, law subjects and journalism. Here are my recommendations for you and before making any final decision go through syllabus of all subjects which I am going to recommend you.

Choose International relations instead of political science as it is more scoring. It is of 200 marks. Also you have hinted you are interested in International law and syllabus of both IR and IL compliment each other.

So, your second choice can be international law. From law group you can only choose 1 subject. I am recommending you to choose IL being more scoring and can be prepared from a single book. It is of 100 marks. Besides Criminology other laws are not scoring. Criminology is good for people who can cram well while international law does not require cramming.

Now you are left with only 300 marks. As you are interested in Journalism, you can go for it. Other good choices from group 7 for 100 marks can be psychology, sociology or regional language.

You are interested in public administration but in my opinion it is not so scoring anymore at least according to CE-16 exam result but in future trend can be changed but just for now its safe not to take it as optional. So, you are left with only two groups.

1st: History: You have 2 choices specially with above combination. Indo-Pak history which compliment few compulsory subjects and US history which can give you more grip on IL & IR. My recommendation is US history. 100

2nd: Group 5: You have 2 best choices in general subjects which are gender studies and environmental sciences. My recommendation is environmental sciences but you can choose GS as well. ES is more scoring. 100

I have recommended this combination because all are general subjects and anyone can prepare them well. They all are also very high scoring. You are aiming for FSP so you need to choose subjects very carefully. You must have interest and aptitude in the subjects so that you can study well but subjects should also be high scoring as well as only top of the list candidates are allocated in FSP.

Now if you are not satisfied with this combination and still wanted to select the subjects you have mentioned above than you can choose following combination but it will be less scoring to above combination.
Political science 200
Public administration 100 (Recommended choice with PS)
Journalism & Mass communication 100 (group V) or Us history or Indo pak history (Group 4)
Environmental sciences or Gender studies 100
International Law or criminology 100

Choose subjects wisely. Take your time. Must go through syllabus contents before making final decision.

Then you have no option but to choose public administration. I think then second combination I have suggested suits you more.
1- PS 200
2- PA 100
3- Journalism 100
4- International Law or Criminology 100
5- Gender studies or Environmental sciences 100
