I have determined to appear in CSS Exam-2020, so please help me in subject selection in optionals.
following is my combination:
1. IR
2. US History
3. I. Law
4. Governance & public policies
5. Sindhi of Sociology (confused) my native language is sindhi but weak in poetry, so guidance needed.

I have had Sindhi as optional. Don't worry about poetry, they don't ask.,, Go for Sindhi just because it is easy to study being native. However other 4 subjects need a solid background to go after them.
1. IR -------- This is a generalized subject. It has not math involved. Hence without any prior background you can opt it. I did as well.
2. US History -------- If you are opting this subject just because you are curious about History, then rather go for Indo-Pak History. Which eventually be helpful in reflecting in your both compulsory subjects of Current Affairs & Pak.Affairs.
3. I. Law ------ I have not idea about International Law, hence I am out of comment on this.
4. Governance & public policies ------ I think this subject is about management thing.... WEll no comment.

A little piece of advice from personal experience is that, Gender studies is a good subject with a little syllabus.... You might find official syllabus in lengthy bullets, but when actually prepare this subject and make your own notes as I did, it has literally short syllabus.....
