I hope you all are sound. I need to post this in order to get your suggestions for below choices.

I am business grad. (graduated this year)
This is my first attempt. (2019 In sha Allah)

-IR (200)
-Business Administration (100)
-Gender Studies (100)
-Journalism (100)
-International Law OR Criminology (100).

I have few questions, I would be grateful if anyone of you answer this.

1- What is trend of business administration? Is it good to opt this subject comparing with Public ad ?
2- What do you suggest between Int. law and criminology?
3- Any other suggestions are also encouraged please.

Bonjour and welcome to the club. Regarding your queries, let me try my best to answer them

1) Business admin, is an awesome subject. Reason (I myself a business graduate with marketing specialization), the course is easy to cover since you have already studied in your bachelors/masters. Marks are awarded depending on how you answered them. Typically as per my views, a business graduate with normal prep can easily scored 60+. I scored 65 in 2016 (Did not attempted the finance part, regretting it now). Public admin on the other hand is also a cool subject. Since, it revolves around management side and focuses on public sector. Again this subject can be easily covered and its contents are easy to understand (You being a business student). My vote is for Business admin nevertheless

2) I opted International law (Scored 75/100). But bare in mind, opt this subject only if you have interest in it and can remember the various articles of International customs (Vienna convention 1961 diplomatic immunity for example). I law can help you fetch good marks only if you attempt the paper like a law student although i was not even close to be a law student.

Now, criminology is very interesting. If you have seen sherlock holmes, CSI and not to mention CID and are interested in criminal minds and such stuff. This is the subject for you. It has a very short course, fairly new and can be easily covered by watching youtube lectures on criminology.


3) Best of luck and try to focus on IR theories in your IR paper. secondly, practice as much as you can for essay and precis paper. Thirdly, read international news not just from dawn, but go for al jazeera, bbc and read their opinions if you can. Try to go through foreign affairs magazine (Just type it on google) and katehone think tank website for more information. other than that get ready
