I think you should choose the subjects, which are better according to "You" not to "Them".
Choose the subjects of your own interest and get good score.

@shahkhan
As said by Marwatone it all depends upon you.Journalism and sociology are easily prepared viz a viz political science.If you don't have any special inclination towards political science than you should opt journalism and sociology.Political science has a lengthy course and those who don't have aptitude for it loose their interest in it half way down and hence its not a subject for them.
As far as urdu is concerned it depends upon your literary taste.if you have liking for urdu literature and poetry you are bound to score well and if you just want to opt it for the sake of it than i'm afraid it wont be beneficial.Furthermore last year the paper pattern was changed and i saw many candidates lamenting their decision to opt urdu but some scored exceptionally well it all depends on your aptitude and preparation
Best regards

AoA.
DMC's of failed candidates present a dismal picture as far as INDO-PAK History, Political Science and constitutional law are concerned. The optimist part is that 689 candidates have cleared this year, so we can give a final verdict after seeing the DMC'S of passed candidates.
Optional subjects on the whole have been targeted this year may be because of a paradigmn shift in checking of the papers.I have never heard to this number of students being passed in the English papers.So i would suggest that keep your fingers crossed and stick to your subjects.All you can do is that prepare them from good sources. There are a few months left in the next exam so any change of optionals at this point of time will only increase your confusion.
Best of Luck
Regards

THANKS MANEKA sahib
Sir thank you so much, infect you snatched my words,,believe u me i wanted it but i was very scared from this recent results and the theories according to it given by people living around us...
although i didn't read yet a single page of subject from my optionals but still at the same time i am feeling comfortable that i can do this in that,,,but if i would change my optional like as my friends suggesting me then it would be more difficult for me,,although my choice and their choice all is new for me,i have to start that all from beginners level..any way according to them i should take Sociology and Journalism , Islamic History or Indo Pak with Muslim Law and with Public Add......
but i agree with ur suggestions..
Thanx Allot Manejka sahib,,i wish to be in contact with u sir...one of my friend my GC fellow knows u very well,,he was telling me about sir..
GOD bless u

@shahkhan
Khan sahib...Thankyou very much for your compliments.
Well if you haven't yet started preparing then you better start preparing now. As already mentioned "our" subjects have been on the low scoring side so you'll have to be really good. Prepare your notes from good sources.
Journalsim can be a good choice but you cannot opt it alongwith Political Science. So i wouls suggest to stick with the subjects you are familiar with but leave no stone unturned to master them.
Regards

Sir....Mumtaz Hayat Maneka,,,
Hope so you will be very fine,,
Sir i need your help,,past papers of optional subjects are hard to find in a chronological order, disorder dates creates ambiguity,at least for me it is.....
in this forum we have 1971 to onwards compulsory subjects but no other important subjects like Political Science and Indo Pak History...the subjects many of the candidates went through those, but i think never pasted here.
So can i have political Science , Indo Pak , public Add and Const law past papers,,if not from 1971 but little 1985 to onwards...........can i ..?
form where and how ..?? Please let me say Thank u again by helping me allot...
am waiting ..
God bless u all..

Aoa
Sorry was away and didn't notice your post. Well you can get the past papers of last ten-fifteen years easily from the market, if you are in Lahore then you can easily get them from Urdu bazar.
One thing more don't over burden yourself, you need not prepare past papers from 1985. Take out past papers of last ten years that would be more than sufficient.
Best of luck
Regards
