Seniors are requested to help regarding the following optional choices .i.e

1 Geography

2 Philosophy

3 Islamic History & Culture

Are these subjects scoring..... ?? which two would be best to opt for ???

The subjects slected by you are quite good and scoring. All subjects are scoring provided one has interest in them and if one prepares them well.

Geography was probably the most scoring subject this year along with Psychology and Journalism.If you look at the DMS's of passed candidates you'll find that almost all who had opted geography scored more than 140 in this subject. Therefore if you prepare it well it'll be a safe choice, i guess.

Philosophy is not opted for that often but i remember passing by a DMS of a failed candidate and he has scored 140 in philosophy.Therefore the same principle of preparing well and getting a good score in this subject can also be applied here.

Islamic History was perhaps the best History subject in Css 2008.Whereas Indo Pak History proved to be a nemesis for majority, islamic History fared well. I suggest you can keep it but go through whole of the syallabus as the papers in 2008 and 2009 were not conventional.

MHM has already discussed in detail Geography and Islamic History. Let me assure you the scoring nature of Philosophy. Besides MHM's observation I have a live example before me. My nephew scored more than 130 in this paper in his all the three attempts. Probably you are the student of philosophy. If my guess is right then you might have studied Islamic history as one of your subject in your graduation / master’s degree program. So it is advisable for you to opt for these subjects based on your prior affiliation with these subjects and the current scoring trend of the same.
