Welcome dear. Glad to have another member from city of lights. Your brother has suggested u rightly. Choose the subject according to your apptitude or subjects which u have studied in your academic period. Subject which are more crediable to acquire flying colours. Besides Our tabasum bhai has briefly guide in this regard. have a look

walikum salam,

first of all welcome on CSS forum Paksitan.Good to know about ur enthusiasim for CSS at this stage.

Quote:
my elder brother suggested me to start preparing for CSS right now
ur bro.advice is right but first u should give attention to ur present studies and in meanwhile u can take a good start by reading newspapers.
DAWN is reccomended.

first one must improve his/her english writting skills and try to increase ur vocabulary.

get some grammar books and starts practice

a practical english grammar by A.J Thomson and chambers idioms book is helpful.
Exploring world of english is also good.

So Please anyone there would help me in selecting optional subjects,
for selecting optionals u should go through the syllabus and past papers.
it gives u insight and nature of subject which become helpful for u in choosing subjects.

select subjects of ur interest........and should consider ur background study.
it would be easier for u to prepare.
first tell us something about ur interest then we will able to guide u in proper way.

check out these for guidance
