Default International Law versus Criminology

It is requested to all knowledgeable to kindly deliberate on the pros and cons of both,so that I may surmise about the one which I will might be able to do better.International law is known to be scoring but it is the one subject on which there are most contrasting opinions.Some find it much easy while others are there for whom it‘s extraordinarily difficult.It‘s also even said that international law is tough to do by oneself without prior formal law education.On the other hand,criminology seems to be having a much lengthy syllabus and it‘s hard to find study material for preparation of new subjects as there are no one or two best books,general guidance or up to the mark css specific books.Those who have experienced can guide better.
@ursula You‘re are always one of the most knowledgeable and provide good informed opinions.Do also suggest.

@bookholic
I have gone through the I'l paper right now, I found it quite easy, like I can explain you extraterrestrial asylum, state jurisdiction, and scope of I'l.
I believe, but it might be my bit overconfidence to subsume that "its easy to get and learn international law than criminology " itself. Criminology is a voluminous subject and I also do agree that gathering of material is a herculean task itself.
But anyways, everybody possess its own sense of taste and track records to keep either notes or just grab the already ready made notes. One thing is more than crystal clear that by studying I'l you are two steps ahead of in Ir. Because of its more explicit destination and explanation of international protocols and convention.While in criminology, you're better equipped with their failures as well.
Consider the case of mine, I studied Kyoto protocol, and its failure in "criminology".If I'm not wrong it was you, who explained that various subjects and their syllabus are overlapping with each other as well.
So by opting I'll you have benefit in ir, but in criminology, you're fighting for 100looney bunnies only.

Hey @bookholic, of course, I.L is a common as well as general based subject and you can observe that most of the aspirants have fetch more than 60+ marks in I.L by preparing in some weaks.
But I would advice you to Not opt the said subject because
1: I.L demands a latitudinal studies
2: it's very famous subject among the aspirants so you need to do smart and unique work for scoring good marks. (which you can't do)
3: in coming years I.L will prove itself as a low-scoring subject.
Now coming to criminology,
criminology is a new as well as interesting subject. It can be even judged by a baby that the subject opted by few aspirants would prove itself as scoring. I hope (believe) criminology would be a scoring subject in CE-16, just wait for the result. Shorty, you should opt criminology and don't listen to those who compare it by looney Tunes. They, themselves are going for criminology.
As far as material is concerned, you can explore the following link.

Actually I‘m not taking ir (tentative),so that‘s why I was considering more on opting criminology.No doubt i.r and i.l are interrelated subjects.But it‘s also believed that international law or any law requires extensive cramming,not much conceptual study.Still for i.l everyone knows that he can prepare/cram from any one of malcolm,tandon,agarwal or stark and it will be all more than enough.Mcqs of it are also almost all from past papers.For criminology,one will have to hassle much for finding material for covering syllabus and deciding about which study material can be okay enough.And time consumed in some subject preparation is also one considerable aspect.However,score trend is also important and I shouldn‘t be overconfident as I am still an inexperienced one in css domain.As I plan not opting i.r,so it won‘t matter not taking i.l too.
It was kind of you all to give your time and opinion.Thank you.
