Hello... I have very limited knowledge about CS... but i think if you have a sufficient background n know how of CS you should opt it... Its average marks are more than IR... IR is not that difficult as well but it gave me the hardest time amongst all my optionals... It requires knowledge plus a specific perspective to answer questions... I am sure you can do both... But i think CS will givr you better score...confirm from someone who has given CS

thank you hazlenut for your suggestion
i read the past of cs of 2016 and it was a normal paper and made me feel that i should opt for it. But when i saw the paper of 2017 it gave me a sudden shock that the paper was totally different and asked question that were very confusing and in depth that i never touched that part in my whole 4 year bs. I am very confused about this selection. can you tell me how much time IR took for preparation? |

Hello... by specific perspective i mean that you should understand all theories and concepts of ir in depth... and every question you answer you should correlate with all the relevant theories

http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-optio...r-science.html If you think, you can cover the whole syllabus and you are familiar with almost 90-95% syllabus go for it. Prepare from recommended books, make notes and also solve past papers. In case if you do not have CS background, never ever under any circumstances think about attempting CS. Go for IR or PS than. Among IR and PS I will suggest IR. This subject is real helpful. It can easily be prepared by anyone at home. It is interesting and scoring as well especially paper 1. Paper 2 demands candidates to do critical analysis in which judgement of candidate is very important to score well. It really did helped me in US history, current affairs and most importantly in essay paper. Almost 4 essays were related to IR paper.
