POL SCI (I would recommend you IR instead as in POL Sci as there are alot of political thoughts and one has to answer comparative analysis of different philosophers + other bad thing is political systems and their comparison on the other hand IR is alot easier than this for someone with Botany and science as academic background)

if you decide for IR then do opt International law as this subject totally complement IR but if you stick to POL sc then donot go for consitutional law (A very bad option)

Why not botany for ES?

opt criminology or philosophy instead of Pub Adm as they are safe subjects and less boring than PB AD.

Now if you opt IR then opt USA history otherwse Indo Pak history is fine as it did complement Pak Affairs in past, 2017 PA exam was an exception.

If you only know punjabi then go for it otherwise sociology and journalism are better and safe options.

Thanks a lot.I decided to go for pol science and pub ad just because these are inter related. Other wise I am totaly blank about these. Similarly I dont know any thing about IR and crminology. I opted punjabi just because it is high scoring.

No combination is bad if you can justify it with your score in written. Punjabi is a very high scoring subject but Indo-Pakistan History is massive and very low scoring. My brother scored 740+ twice years back but his score in Indo-Pak was less than 110 each time. If i were you, I'd choose US History for Indo-Pak and Botany for Environmental Sciences. IR is a better choice as compared to Political Science. I'd suggest you to choose optional subjects very wisely for qualifying written in flying colours is sine qua non to your allocation.

The real charm in CSS subject groups is that no one can have ideal combination as we all come from different academic backgrounds which relate to one or two particular groups, after the regrouping of subjects social science students have got a little edge else it is alien thing for everyone, you have to chose one or two subject totally unknown to you. Punjabi alongwith all regional languages has reputation of scoring good as the examiner wants to promote his language and has sympathy for his own culture and language.

I would like to suggest you that you should opt these

IR
International law
US History
Botany
sociology

and you will thank me one day
