Muslim Law Vs International Law Vs Criminology

Hello folks,

Can anybody guide me about these subjects?
Which one should be chosen? Considering scoring trend, Paper pattern and overall performance of candidates.

I am personally more interested in Muslim Law. However, I'm choosing IR so a lof of fellow colleagues are advising me to opt for ILaw as it overlaps with IR.
Viable advice neeeded.

P.S. I dont have any Law background!

You'll find excellent material for I Law. Plus the overlap with IR helps.
Criminology is fairly straightforward. JWT's key book is enough to help you pass. Of course your analysis and application of the knowledge matter.
Muslim law might be lengthy and material might not be satisfactory. And without a law background, you'll need some time to get a grip of the jurisprudence involved to satisfactorily study the subject and attempt the paper...
Since you're starting from scratch, all subjects are the same for you. I Law will be your best bet.

Which one is more lengthy and easy to grasp? ILAW or Criminology? This will be my final decision!

Chances of getting targeted are the same for both. Both are hot subjects, popular picks.
I like criminology, you get to study daaku mentality, thaana mentality, what forces aam aadmi to commit a crime, how community policing can help, how forensic evidence can help quickly solve a case. It's all straight forward.

I Law is interesting for people who like IR. You study about how totally random countries get along together. How they don't care about anything but somehow regard certain pledges (which in turn becomes a 'law').

Study both the subjects for 3 days (4 hours per day) each. Study via PDFs, forum notes.
See which one has a more legit vibe to it.

This 3 day investment will be the best you make for a solid/unshakable choice. People study a subject for a month and then change. You make the choice in 6 days.

Muslim Law is hit more often than not. In other words, it is generally a low scoring subject.

I. Law has been a traditionally high scoring subject except for last two years which have seen the difficulty level of this exam become higher.

Criminology has not been hit so far since its introduction in 2016.

It can help you if you choose a Group 2 subject such as Physics. For instance, topper of 2016, an electrical engineer, had Physics for 200 marks as an optional.

I did want to opt Applied Mathematics and Statistics but everybody has since been demotivating me and putting me down rather than boosting my confidence.
I called several academies and all of them told me to strictly not opt them as they don't help in interview and stuff.

Brother I got 90 in Applied Maths and 73 in Statistics and these two subjects helped me to to take my score over 720 but I failed in essay. You may check my DMC. I have shared it on the forum.

Take these two subjects if you know your calculus, ODEs, numerical methods etc. Or even if you knew these topics well at some point and have since forgotten them.

These subjects will not overlap with any other subject but the scoring potential is too much to ignore. I was fortunate enough to be guided by a teacher in Lahore who made these subjects very doable for me.

No academy will suggest you to take a subject it doesn’t offer. They need people to fill in their classrooms.
