well if anybody told u that special seats are reserved for them then it is 100% wrong..nor it is like that few subs are reserved for new ones or etc.. this is entirely wrong..see every onewho decides for CSS is new..and in the rules nothing is like that mentioned..go for the subs which appeal to u, in which u have interest..there is a notion that few subs are scoring probably this is true as few of them are scientific subs like psychology, physics, geography etc.. but still every sub needs attention and hardwork..candidates opt these subjects because:
1: easy to grasp
2: related to current affairs which also helps in essay writing
3: may be scoring

but still iwould recommend that take subs of ur interests and work hard. u will succeed..IA
regards, kjay

No way, IR, Public ad and Political science are quite different from each other, its only Pol Sci paper II and Cons. Law that are somewhat similar.

thank you mr. kjay.they also say tht with these subj essay,ca, nd intervw becomes very easy.but they r nt selectd ppl yet.so i need mashwara of other learnd ppl.they give me reasn tht pub ad, ir, is also taught afterwards when 1 is selectd thru css. so they say there r seats reserved for such ppl already.i wnt that any already selectd person tell me who has compltd the process of css!they also give me the reasn tht althogh these papers hv less holidays in btw, but ppl still opt thm.n tel these r nt marks obtaining, but ppl still opt thm.the problem is that i hv no intrest in such subjects but i hv interest in languages, hisotry. not law n political science.(i hv also not find specific instruction abt thm in their syllabus document) nd againn they say that fpsc has made hint to opt these subjs by making them 100 marks walay nd thay say a lot a lot n alot abt their choice.no problem i can take these subjcts if thyr point of view is so true cz in css dil pe jabar karna to paray ga.kon ho ga jis ko puray 12 subj me intrst ho. but i only wnt to stay away frm unecessary confusions tht frnds r creating.nd it wl be better if i follow my intrst.

plz selectd ppl dudh ka dudh pani ka pani kare, other wise my frnds rule me nd ! muje slection board k intrst ko dekhna chahiye ya apne ap ko?

ur welcome (its miss kjay).plz and plz do not ask the people who do not know the ABC of CSS..i have discussed plenty of matters with CSP officers, and would like to share that FPSC does not analyse u on the basis of ur subjects.they have given us free hand to opt.in interview they judge ur personality and alertness of ur mind.u can go for the scoring marks subs according to ur own choice..these subjects like IR,journalism etc help in CA and essa, but u can prepare these two subjects on ur own..as per date sheet, let me say that it does not have any effect on ur prep, because during exmas u just have to keep ur mind alert and relax, and ONLY go through the main points..aap ko sirf neend ka time milta hai jo k exam k dauran poori honi chahye werna mind kaam nahi karta..journalism,sociology,muslim law,Ir and indo pak consecutively come in date sheet with in one week..plus any sub u chose they are taken in morning and evening..take the sub of ur choice and interest take guidance..dont be overwhelmed by ur frnds, make ur own decision...
good luck
