Scoring VS Non-Scoring Mystery

AOA Friends,

I have a very strong feeling that the subjects which earn the reputation of being 'Scoring' get the hit from the examiners sooner or later. This may be in the form of harsh marking as happened in Journalism 2014 or difficult paper e.g. Arabic 2014. In contrast, the less popular subjects, such as Agriculture, have a less volatile profile.

that's true, and some subjects like Political Science, Constitutional Law and IR, are consistently low scoring. The knowledge these subjects offer, and their necessity in CIVIL SERVICES is huge. But some how or the other, this is strange case of our civil service exams that subjects like Persian, Arabic and other of the likes are given due priority by FPSC examiners, which in turn prompt aspirants to opt them, as exam is primarily of marks NOT of INTELLECT.

Are Physics and Applied Mathematics high scoring subjects for candidates having Engineering academic Background ? Anybody please comment on my subject combination i.e.

Physics
Applied Mathematics
Public Administration
International Relations

I am final year student of Metallurgy Engineering, Seniors please analyze my subjects combination

physics is good one you can fetch above 140 with good preparation, Applied Math is like 1 or 0 it definitely need excessive practice and firm grip.

Yes you are right...........
Commonly opted subjects shows average marking trends.
Less commonly opted subjects shows good marking scales.
I get 142 in zoology.
Subject selection is very critical but if student has no previous exposure of new subject should not opt it as the first priority is to clear papers then to get good marks.
