Found this forum to share my grief. I am graduate of Best business school of Kpk now pursuing higher education in Economics age 26 . Throughout my education career I was an average student with low mental ability. At the age of 20 when I started my university life after FSc I decided for CSS and made it a goal. I started collecting books,notes and start meeting with those who made through this exam.I had alot of passion and motivation in my life in those days.I was in circle with CSPs who guided and their life style pre-tranning and post-tranning geared more and motivation was gaining momentum day by day. I was all a CSS officer in mind. No action only thinking. Time passes now it is 2016 I am not able to get rid from this exam even I not appeared. Every year I postpone this exam because I know I cant handle pressure, I cant attempt paper properly I think I am an average student I cant make it through.I have fear of failure, I am giving up. Every human coming front like friends, family strangers suggest me to appear in CSS I dont know why the think that I will clear this exam. Sometime I feel I have to appear may be I destine to pass because all these are indication that I should work for it. My CSS officer friends said we will discontinue relation if you not make it. I also in distress that if I not appear or pass it I will never forgive myself in future that I never tried to work hard and appeared. 1st I too was running for fame what CSS give to you but now I dont need fame. I just like only the nature of CSS Job like you cannot stick to one department. You can also travel the world by joining FSP which was my utmost desire. Now all shattered in pieces. I did CSS in mind only. from 2011 to 2016 journey of of thinking, collecting books, making CSPs was a good journey LOL. So here suming up I failed I quit.Any saner person reading this can suggest some good advise or good words after reading this hope it would not waste your time.

Well, that struck a chord. I, too, had been postponing it since 2013 but this year, i have finally managed to gather every ounce of motivation i can find in myself after years of procrastination, and am making a go for it.
Your problem is not dissimilar to the problem of other 'forever-aspirants'. All talk and no action. Here's an 'Action Plan' for you:
Set yourself short-term goals. For now, restrict yourself to the written exam and invest all you energies therein. The 'Perks of being a CSS officer' part can wait. Don't try to live all your life at once.
Give it a shot before giving up. Now, get up and get going......

P.S. That last bit works wonders for me.

ok I have good news for you ....Just open youtube and download all videos of Tyrese Gibson ....watch them everyday for 30 mins ....I guarantee you it will change you. if these videos could not inspire you to appear in Coming CSS exam...i will quit this forum ..Just watch them for 2 weeks regularly .!

so..please do not loose hope .

Like everyone one else i would like you to extirpate fears,which is nothing more than a figment of your's imagination.As they say,fear only exists in your mind so you have to trick your mind through optimism,hunger to achieve something in a very short life,and of course trust in Allah.

I am fakeer i always speak plainly.... hope you wont mind it.... I will not give you any suggestion because you have already accepted the defeat... A person who accepts defeat in starting the fight can never win it. You are just a lazy person.... nothing else..... You cant do anything.... leave the preparation on CSS and explore some other job.....

Same case with me. But I appeared last year and failed in English. CSS phobia come to end, and now I am well preparing for next attempt. Alhamdulillah
