detail and fees of KIPS academy for css
 

A.O.A Seniors can any please guide me about KIPS academy css sessions and its fees and when a session of two or three months held in a year. please tell me about its fee structure. and if you know about World Times academy then plz tell me also about that.

Wa Alaikum Salaam
Academies are not necessary but if you want to attend choose KIPS main campus, Lahore or World Times Academy, Lahore.
Last year KIPS charged me 50000 for full session of 4 months. You can pay in installments but it will cost you around 65-70 thousand. If you wish to attend only 1-2 months go for installments then. They never refund even if they promise. World time academy has pretty much same charges. If going for KIPS, choose evening session.

Is this true that whoever go to academy for css preparation will pass it? I have heard so many times that you should go to academy for preparation if you want to pass and self study gets you nowhere in css.

No it is not true. In class of 45, only one or two clears css. It can be more or less. It is not necessary to go to academy. It is also true that most of the students who passed have went to academies but not all. I know many who have not attended but still passed with great marks. They merely guide you. It is recommended for beginners. Rest is up to you. You have to study on your own. Right guidance is needed. Rest self study is the key. It is combination of hard and smart study.
If you are a beginner, go for it. Otherwise take help from qualified senior if you can. They can guide you better. It also depend upon your choice of subjects and methodology of your study. Academies are good for few subjects. If you do not cram and study through understanding concepts academies can help you to certain extent. Still you need to prepare by self study. Moreover, English coaching and coaching of few subjects may be required other than academy.
I paid for full session but attended only for 2 months. I prepared English with help of English teacher who is CSP himself. For particular subjects, my friends went to teachers outside academy. If you are going to appear in 2019, you have ample time to prepare. Take one month session in academy. You can attend sessions until you feel that academy is not so beneficial anymore. Meanwhile, you can go to qualified English teacher. You can go to individual teachers for coaching of some subjects. I was happy about IR, US history and ES preparation from academy. IL teacher was not good. Psychology was not offered by academy. English was not good. Practice did helped a little but I felt that my other teacher was better for me. Teacher of CA was good in KIPS main campus. PA was also good if you combine books plus his analysis but you have to choose carefully from his analysis. Somethings you cannot quote in exams unless you want to commit suicide. Islamic studies teacher was too good. About general science ability, only medical portion was covered rest we had to cram. However, math and ability portion was taught in detail.
One has to analyze carefully the productivity of academy, teachers and even books.
They start session every month. If you want to attend. Go there as early as possible. Then you can give time for self study. After that, attend grand test session or you can only give mock examinations.

There are many. I went for someone who can give me a little bit time. I went to Sir Rana Tanveer. He teaches in APEX academy, opposite Barket Market, Garden Town, Lahore. Academy is not far from KIPS but it is on opposite side. I did not take his regular class. He charged me Rs 12000 for full month and Rs 7000 for 15 or less days. He teaches in class but I went there to polish my skills and to get my practice work check. He used to give me tasks to write impromptu in academy. I also used to write at home. He checks in front of me, points out mistakes and give suggestions. If you are beginner, go to someone who teaches from scratch like Sir Shafaat Yar Khan. He teaches for 6 months. So, join as early as possible. After that to polish your skill and get an opinion from a CSP who has qualified twice, go to Sir Rana Tanveer. One month session with him after Sir Shafat's session is enough.
Madam Maria is also a good one in Wapda town but she has not taught anyone in last 2 years due to her busy schedule. Sir Raza Abidi was used to be best teacher but now he is too old and does not check practice. Sir Manzoor Mirza died. Sir Kashif Rehman is also a good teacher in model town but he has too many number of students. Sir Nadeem Shahid is good but he only takes 9 students after taking essay test. There are two others as well Agha Mohsin and Muzaffar Bukhari. My friends went to them but they were not that satisfied. Thrice qualified CSP Hamood UR Rehman also teaches at Apex academy but in session not individually. There are many others. I will recommend the first two I have suggested.

I was talking about a particular teacher. However, in CSS one should not write anything anti Pakistan and anti quaid. Never go against popular history concepts written in our books even if they are wrong. Portray your country as best unless a specific negative thing about the country is being asked i.e corruption etc . Write anti America and anti India. We are patriots and we can never dare to read anything against our country and Quaid. Also, we love to read negative about India and America. One should not discuss or compare sects, religions, political parties etc. However, you can discuss one religion like Islam in Islamiyat. You can write sectarian fights as one of major security problems of Pakistan. You can discuss overall political history but never discuss any leader or any political party specifically. Reason behind such recommendation is that you are not aware about the religion, sect. and political party of examiner.
In questions of critical analysis, write both positive and negative aspects. After that give your final verdict. Stay to the point. Do justice to all parts of the question equally. Never write crammed material. Write according to question as questions are not simple anymore.
