Take a look at governance syllabus and see if you can comprehend it easily, problem is that there are not good books available in market and even e-books are not helpful without guidance. Otherwise go for Business Administration, its bit lengthy but do-able.

GPP(GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC POLICIES) overlaps with political science. Its scoring trend is good as compared to other optional subjects. It will help you get allocated in PAS GROUP DEFINITELY.
On the other hand,us history is on the target of FPSC,and it will remain in the target radar at least till 2020.

at least 6-7 books are available in market now for gpp.
US HISTORY will be brutally slaughtered in 2019 again. The poor results in us history 2018 paper will consolidate my statement in future.

Yeah, i am not encouraging him to opt history subject. Its just that I have given 3 consecutive papers of gpp and still am clueless about from where to prepare the book. I bought Imtiaz shahid’s book back in 2016 but it was a disappointment. I again rechecked Prince book centre, Lahore for latest books. I could’nt find any good one. That is why I am saying find a good teacher, only then one can score 60+. Comparatively, BA has a lengthy syllabus but it is doable, even without guidance.
PAS allocation is another story buddy, lets just focus on written part for now.

Well, What I have learned from various lectures & discussions with CSPs that it is combination of both the marking trend & your aptitute. More specifically, even aptitute has more weightage over marking trend.
