Default use dictionary in better way

use dictionar in better way

learn the phonetic alphabets
at the begining of most doctionaries you will find phonetic tableswhich tells you how to pronounce the symbol given with word if you learn these symbols you will find much easier to pronounce new words

learn how to use stress marks
most of good english dictionaries show where the stress of word is by using the mark ; this means the following syllable is stressed

pho_to_graph

pho_to_grapher

pho_to_graphic

best way to improve your pronounciation is with correct word stress as mistakes withstress cause more misunderstanding than mispronoucing

make sure that you know the grammar of new word
if it is verb does it need a preposition such as in,or,of does the word have irregular ending

look at defination of word
if you dont understand word try a simple dictionary good dictionaries give definations that are simpler than word they describe

look at example sentence given
it should show new word in way that explains its meaning

find word quickly
there are many thousands of entries in dictionary you will be frustrated if you couldnt find word quickly entries are arranged in alphabatical order you think will the word be in begining ,in middle or in last practice this many times and
reduce time you expand in scatcing head and finding word

take care
regads
