*As soon as you enter the examination center, go straight to the exam hall and be seated in your allotted seat and relax, without starting any chitchat with anyone.
*Once you have your question paper in your hand, don’t straight away start giving your exam.
*Have a look at the instructions given at the top of the question paper to ensure any new changes have not been proposed.
*Be clear with the number of questions to be answeBlue, marks for each question in various sections, time allotted for each set of questions.
*Identify and Mark or underline the critical terms raised in the questions for quick reference later.
*Be clear with which questions you want to go for answering and concentrate on them.
*You should be keen on understanding the way the question is raised in the exam paper, for example, you have to observe carefully whether the question is asked for description, differentiation, brief content, classification etc.
Plan your time with each answer considering its marks and time given in the instructions.
*Be sure that you end up answering earlier than what you have scheduled.
*Be clear with which question you want to go first in order to manage time and marks as well.
*Prepare an outline for lengthy answers before, so that you can keep your pen running without any break.

While writing the Answers:
*First write your roll number, exam paper code, and question number with reference to the exam paper correctly.
*Prepare a framework in mind of what to be written to a particular question before you put on the answer paper.
*Answer exactly of what has been asked with respect to the marks and time, although you might know more than what is asked in the question.
*You can score good marks if you put the answer straight, precise and in the form of points to make the valuator understand clearly your answer.
*While writing the answer, always keep your cool even though you are well acquainted with the answer and help yourself give a clear and worthful answer.
*Always maintain the margins, side headings if necessary, in the answer paper so that your papers give a good feeling to the valuator, later.
*Keep an eye on the watch too, to give you an idea of how well you can manage the answer in time, so as to avoid time constraints to the remaining answers.
*Should not get disappointed if the question paper is tough, remembering that it would be the same with all, try to give your best with your conscience.
*Try to finish answering the question paper at least 10 minutes before and attach all the additionals properly and check the answer paper thoroughly to ensure all the questions are answeBlue.
*If you find any points missing in the answers given, add the points accordingly.

*Once you finish the exam and you are out of the examination hall, don’t think about the written paper anymore, and remember you have to get ready for the next exam.
*Do not discuss about the finished exam or answers with your friends, because that will affect your confidence levels.
*And finally when you are finished with all of your exams, make a habit of putting all your experiences and opinions about the exams written in a book. In future, they will help a lot for later exams and makes you easier and handy.

Exams are the critical moments which give fruitful results for the yearly hard work.
Wish you all good luck

Tips for exam prep

Make sure you will collect all lecture notes and related material at least 2 weeks before the exam. After that this task will be almost impossible to complete.
You DEFINITELY need to get some past papers for this exam. Usually you can get them from the library, university web site or from your own tutor. In some cases past papers may be accompanied with answers.
1-2 weeks before the exam talk to your tutor and ask him or her what kind of questions there will be on exam. In 70% of cases you will receive very valuable information which will significantly help you to prepare. Another important aspect is the number and worth of questions.
Carefully plan your time for exam preparation. You should give yourself at least 2 full days to prepare. If you are working – take several days off work – it worth it.
Start preparation from an early morning. Switch off mobile phone, TV, don’t check your emails and avoid any other disturbances. Make sure you have enough high-calories food (like chocolate).
Firstly read all your lecture notes. Vast majority of exams is based on the lecture notes (only or mainly) therefore you don’t need to read all course-recommended books. If you don’t understand something – talk to your classmates, read books, search Internet. Make sure you understand everything.
Secondly, answer ALL past exam papers and check your answers. It is useful to collaborate with your classmates because in this case group work may help you to avoid some mistakes.
Thirdly, analyse all previous exam papers and information received from your tutor. Try to estimate what kind of exams there will be. Then, assess your capabilities. For example, if you are good with numbers and calculations and KNOW that there will be some questions of such kind on exam, it is advisable for you to concentrate on reviewing techniques related to such questions. Try to plan the questions which you are going to answer (if you are more or less sure they will appear). On 99% of exams students have choice to answer 4 questions from 6 for example), therefore you SHOULD NOT know everything! It is sometimes better to leave some areas and to concentrate on others.
If you have a chance – talk to someone from previous year who took this exam. Quite often you can receive some valuable information for them.
Make sure you get good sleep before the exam. Many students are much stressed and can’t sleep. Try to use your own tricks to avoid it, for example go to bed earlier, read something, don’t watch TV and etc.
Wake up at least 2 hours before you need to leave the house. If you want – do some reading and reviewing, but not much. Eat well. Don’t forget to take all of your lecture notes with you to the university, because you may wish to look at them to clarify something at the last minutes.
Take your own stationary: several good pens, calculator and etc.
And lastly, when the exam has started – DON’T PANIC even if you seem not to know anything. Relax and write everything you know. Watch the time carefully, so that you have approximately equal amount of time for each questions.
GOOD LUCK!
