There is a psychological reason too behind one's failure. As per my earlier posts, I won't share anything bookish or heard from the horse's mouth but my own experience CSS aspirants, almost 3 month prior to to exams, feel nervous and start speculating that they won't be able to do it this time around. The truth is only knowm to the aspirant himelf/herself. But in order to armour himself against others' expectations, he looks for excuses and hurdles intentionally or unintentionally to prove to others that his preparation has been hampered by many obstacles. The aspirant, in this respect, looks for minor non-issues to get himeslf involved in so that an excuse can be sought. He magnifies even the slightet of problems and keeps it as an armour for himself in case of failure. Job, family, lack of guidance, facilities or even any affair ( sorry to point it out ) are beautifully attired excuses. One needs to pay full attention to one's preparation with Commitment, Concentration and Consistency. One, at least, must not lie to oneself and should have clear introspection as to what wrong and irrelevant he has been doing. Plz, put aside the non-issues and stop using them as an armour and excuses for your failure.Don't lose the battle before even it is fought. CSS is the name of battle of nerves. To write essay keep in mind what exactly the examiner wants from you, write step by step either in 5 lines paragraph or maximum 7 lines, reason is too much lines in one para makes examiner bore and he without reading more starts to check next para by that it might be possible the important lines you mentiones may ignored,
Second makesure your para starts with quote or proverb and ends at similar aspect. Third brake essay into headings, Fourth and last is dont forget to give numbers to that headings. CSS indeed is a superior competition. What I learnt in preparation for CSS is self excellence through humility. Abraham Lincoln's words"your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other thing" have meaning and life inherent in them. The competition is not with tens of thousand odd candidates, it lies within ourselves.
Competition with fellow souls creates envy;envy creates fatigue;fatigue demotivates ambitions and demotivated motives can never be realized. Emerson wrote "self reliance". I followed this concept as a philosophy. The result was evident...My roll no(12473) appeared among candidates eligible for Viva Voce.Don't wait for lessons, create one that suits you... "Apne man main doob kar pa ja suraag e zindagi Tu agar mera nai banta, na bun, apna to bun!"

The best way to avoid speeling mistakes is the use of T9 dictionary whenever you text via your cell-phone.

CSS failure
although i have not appeared in CSS exams, but i think following are also some reasons behind failure
1) lack of concentration or double minded behavior specially in case if you have any other options available, if you have not burnt all the boats behind you, then you will lose your concentration and will become complacent 2) too much guidelines also confuse people, some time it is beneficial but if you are consulting every person with CSS background that will confuse you as well

Dear friends i thing the actual cause of failure in css exam is lack of writing practice. If we write whatever we prepare or study, it will be very helpful practice to pass even essay paper or composition.
