As far as the matter of Optionals is concerned i must tell you that, overall it looks good, but about pashto or I.R, you should choose PASHTO (if it is your mother tounge) . and managing time table is depends on your day to day time table and perferences, 6 to 8 hours (remeber more is better, if you have time then you should study more hours) of study and approx. 8 months are enough to bottle the geniue. (Many peoples prepare for CSS while doing job, if you are not, then you must divide that study hours, 4 to 5 hours in morning and remaining in evening, it will give room to relex), while talking about stemina it is very first thing you require for the CSS, because you need consistency and detailed review of everything. if you dont have stemina try to develop this long term study habit.

if you are begginer then you must visit these links of this prestigious forum

Beginners Guide to CSS Competitive Examination : CSS Forums - Pakistan Civil Service

and visit the links of syllabus of your considered subjects, but click on below mentioned link.

Syllabus for CSS Competitive Examination - CSS Forums

it will help and you must got understand that what you have to read and what to omit, because many peoples mistaking by reading all the things about the subject that they have selected, it isnt required you just have to study the mentioned syllabus. beacuse time managment is basic thing along with consistency so dont waste your pretigious time.

BEST OF LUCK.

Thumbs up

Dear Khuro; your suggestions and guidlines are really very helpfull to me as well to other beginers.
I have some other quistions regarding timetable and strategy. What strategy should i opt for studing compulsory and optional subjects on daily basis and on weekly basis? Should i complete compulsery subjects first and then optionals? or one optional and one compulsery dailly?
Second quiestion:Which method will yield best result; group study or study alone using net and books?

Please answer me in detail.
Thanks

Well, from your mentioned five ways of time table i tried almost four, all are remain helpful but some of them, have created complexity for me, nothing more but just feeling burden....

Quote:
compulsory and optional subjects on daily basis
this seems difficult, for this strategy you almost need 12 to 14 hours of study. (everyone has their own stemina) but it looks difficult to study hours in a day, beacuse you can do it for a day, but next day you wont be capable to study with full concentration. it will be like look busy and do nothing

Quote:
on weekly basis
this seems much relax you can fix weeks for optionals and compalsary it seems doable, for example start with a week as complasary and next would be for optionals.

Quote:
Should i complete compulsery subjects first and then optionals?
I am doing with this strategy, but not waiting till the completion of complasary, i decided to study complasary subjects for two months, and next two for optionals, and so on.....(if you are aspirent for 2012, then you had 8 months to study and remaining days for revision).

Quote:
or one optional and one compulsery dailly
i wount suggest this,, beacuse CSS needs fix time table how would you distribute the subjects then..... is there any possible way of making this long terms time table, beause with that, you even forgoted the detail of last studied topic

as far as my suggestion is concern, i will suggest you to study alone beacuse every thing is porvided in the books. well group study is helpful beacuse peoples disscus the idea and that works. but CSS needs full concentrated study, not ideas

i give my concerns to all of you possible time table strategies, it is all about your personal liking, in any way as you like study, DO IT, make your fixed time table with full determination...

Inshallah you will be succesfull,
my ID is mentioned in my profile just drop an e-mail of you any problem, i will try my level best to help you in detail.

BEST OF LUCK.
