Thanks for sharing your experience that we badly need. Can I ask your passing marks in 2011? I want to get an idea, what effort we required to put in, to jump on positions.

If I get more then 650 marks with a combination of Political Science, Economics and Indo-Pak History. Please comment on it.

Brother combination doesn't matter. Total score matters. The more the score, the better the chances of being selected in desired group/service.

Can you tell me that why there is a wide chasm between marks of Essay and Precise & Composition paper of so many candidates?

A candidate who scored 55 in last attempt managed just 23 this time around in Precis & composition.
The same person achieved 17 in Essay in CE-2013 and now has managed 45.

This manifests that there is no standard or consistency in checking/marking method at all. A lost depends on the whims of a checker.

Default Tip

As far as my opinion is concerned, I am quite satisfied with the standard of FPSC despite unable to qualify twice. I ignored preparation for Precis paper and got failed while I got good marks in first attempt. I personally think that these are the confused concepts that produce failures in essay and Islamyat. Be it Sociology or any other subject, one have to answer rationally with reference to the Subject theories in order to score 60+. The questions are so general in nature that one thinks that it can be answered in general terms but this is the real exam where one have to relate the (Sociological say) theories.

You are right to some extent. Apart from level of preparation and quality of attempt by a candidate, much depends upon the mysterious paper checker! And yes, unfortunately there is no standard / consistent evaluation criteria for this exam.

Are you asking about time management during paper in examination hall?
