My personal opinion is that CSS is all about being open minded and literate. Academies are just a way to prove to others that you are serious about CSS and nothing more.

I too think that academies are a waste of time and resources. It is far more valuable to sit with 5-10 recent CSPs and ask them about their experiences rather than joining an academy for months.

You are absolutely right! I, recently, asked some info on phone from an academy. Previously, I had read about the faculty. They took my mobile number and sent me a msg; informing about the orientation class. They wrote the name of a teacher for English and in brackets it was written "AC"(Assistant Commissioner); whereas, I knew that person was not AC, not even CSS qualified but a Deputy Director in some Organization!
So, they advertise their business and in doing so they start from lies and end at lies!
But, it is better to take personal tution from some CSS qualified person for two or more months!

Well it is not wrong at all. But as far as my experience is concerned its positive because for the preparation I just went to the world times academy and why I went there because I have been reading jahangirs world times monthly magazine for last 2 years. I had the same confusion in my mind regarding CSS coaching academies but I had to change my opinion because at world times academy they clearly mentioned the names who studied their and then qualified the exam and also told that rest of them were just interviewed by the jwt magazine after their success in CSS. So my opinion is slightly different.
