how CSS academies deceive potential candidates
I have never been a huge fan of the CSS academies. most of them are huge rip offs. and they false advertise. they have put the pictuers of the past successful candidates and claim that they have been their students. the reality it, many times they dont even know their names.
I went to KIPS. I saw the pictures of a few of my own batchmates. on many of them they had written the name, year or service group wrong. i took pictures of two of my batchmates. if a candidate has been successful because of their efforts, they should atleast have his name right. In the first image the man labeled as Zeeshan from DMG is actually Rao Shehzad from IRS. in the second picture, The person is labelled Fahim Khan Afridi but he is actually Inam Wazir from Customs. why i know them? because the former belongs to the same common as mine, while the latter did his STP with me ( he is originally from the 33rd Common). |

Dear Mahmood
you are right that academies are there just to coin money and if we look at the aspirants, they are always eager to join academies, either they do not have faith in their own capabilities or they have more faith in academies that these academies can inculcate in them the potential that is the requirement to be a CSP... i ask you a question, isn't it possible to qualify and get allocation without having been to an academy???what are your experiences, would you please tell through this froum??? |

my personal point of view is a lil bit diff, brother if they are here to coin money then why is that a number of css aspirants join them annually, they have the success ratio, they provided u wid experienced people.
academies gives u a base, m not a part of any academy. i think u should not discourage those who r new for css n wanted to join any academy.

I know many CSS aspirants some of them the member of this forum after completing their 6 month or more study period with academies like officers and others , requesting to others for guideline, material, method of attempting papers etc, with this type of comments "academies sy tung a giya hun"
I know the 2 toppers of CSS personally, told that academies offers some money for using their names.

@ Bilal Hasan,
There are many shining examples of people who have never been to academies and yet they were able to secure good positions in the CSS examinations. one of those bright people is Mr. Kamran Aadil who stood 4th in the 30th common. Our own topper never went to any of the academies. there are several people that i know never went to the academies but the academies wrote their names when they succeeded simply because went there for information or joined but left soon. several of my other batchmates have never been to the academies but they still made it through. Did these academies ever tell you how many of their students actually failed? @Maha why do the people join them? well, false advertisement can do wonders. if academies tell you that the toppers come from their academy every year, then a lot of people would be tempted to join them. that is why these academies use a lot of their budgets on advertisements. you will often see that the same person has been advertised in the brochures of different academies. does that mean that particular person attended all of those academies? As for these two pictures, i can tell you that Mr. Inam Wazir ( aka Fahim Khan Afridi) never went to an academy simply because he was too busy with his work. before joining Customs, he was the information group, having worked with two very busy ministers ( Sherry Rahman and Qamar Kaira). and as you can see this picture seems to have been taken from some informal information session. it does not even look like a classroom setting. by the way you are welcome to join any academy and waste your money. I dont have any objection to that.

@ Sir Mahmood
You are absolutely right. One of Academy owners had phoned my friend (who was allocated in foreign service) to get his picture printed with his academy advertisements. He had offered him some good money to teach in his academy as well.I'm in agreement with you that mostly their advertisements are false.

@ mehmood
i m css qualified, i m not advertising any academy or not meant to encourage someone to join it so, i was of the view point many students who dont know anything about css but wanted to be a csp, what should they do? i know many people who come to me on daily basis to get well along css, i dont have much time or even the qualifiers although wanted to help those...in that case academies help, students meet there n make groups to discuss and prepare well

The above discussion is very fruitful. Now i have some questions please clear my queries.
First i have complete notes of all subjects and through this css forum i got almost important information. The only reason for me to join academy is that to get the experience of group discussion & test system. Now tell me at that stage should i need to join the academy? Seniors i am looking forward your response and help. Regards

@all
Respected members,
let me share you my experience. In my 1 year prep,i visited one top most academy of lahore for 1 day just for psychological preparation. It was really a bad experience.I felt that people are here to make moneyThey took my snap on very first day and then i never visited any academy till my final result.i took guideline from Sir Aga Mohsin,Sir Rasheed of Geography and Madam Talat for psychological interview.I have only these three teachers.they played major role in my success. After getting good position in CSS,i thought to teach students as i had resigned from shaukat khanum cancer hospital before my interview and i did not want to do any job relating to medical field.I love teaching and i enjoy it . I changed my cell no just few days before my final result. As per academies, they tried to contact me on my previous no given in fpsc forms but they could not trace me. In order to get lectures,I went three top academies of lahore one by one and asked them about teaching in their academies. How they dealt me,its wonderfullet me share one by one. 1.First i went to one academy, they asked me to come to their seminar, invited on dinner and asked me that i should announce in seminar that i completely studied in their academy.Later, they will adjust me and will give financial benefits.I insisted on teaching only but they were not willing so i refused and came back..few days back they called me for teaching outside lahore but i refused.... 2.Then i visited 2nd renowned academy of lahore, they welcomed me warmely and promised to give lectures in academy and asked me to come to seminar.i said yes,i would come.Few moments before seminar, they asked me to announce that i am x student of their academy.I refused to tell a lie so finally i spoke few words that i had used notes of current affairs from that academy and they were useful.(they did not like my speech so no lectures ) 3.V stupid academy,i visited there and he asked me to take lectures but when i came to know that the owner attempted to pass CSS twice and he failed, I refused...he also wanted the same but again i refused. In the end,No lectures and still here i am So i did not join any academy and started teaching in my room. I just shared my experience.you people are wise and can easily conclude what i want to say. Regards.
