Hussain sardar from 32 common ITG now IRS who is good person but he teaches everyday science as he is teaching 9th class science student he started from mere basic concepts in one lecture he wrote names of nine planets and draw inner structure of earth in 2 hours lecture only and Pak affarirs is taught by a serving CSP officer and gives lecture in urdu and say i will not give you notes and focus on self study so why have we joined acedemy and CA is taught by DIG Ch tassadaq hussain who is currently serving in lahore in punjab police he only gives basic data of every country which can be obtainded from wikipedia and discuss it generally. optional
Subjects are limited now the so called hardest paper of CSS english essay and compostion is taught by pricipal Mr Saleem mirza who sorry to say cannot speak english fluently and his own accent is freakish and can`t teach aspirant of css.I meet principal and informed him that i am waiting for the result and want to improve he said kindly give me your Snap, name and roll number of css 2012 for acedemy record as it could be helpful for acedemy in near future maybe they want to get Credit if i get passed or get a allocation
now let me tell you about aspirant they were mostly science student and most of them were working for their masters degrees and they dont know about ABC of CSS exams and were blindly working on acedemy teacher guidelines which i believe is not up to mark to even pass the exam and energy backup of acedemy is of poor therefore i decided to quite toppers acedemy to save my money and energy and stop wasting my time and start self study but i will suggest students to please learn from my experience and start self study for css 2013 and dont waste their money and energy in acedmies who are only money making insitituies and may allah help you
(AMEEN)

Seniors and aspirants please comments on my experience of CSS acedmies in lahore your comments are welcomed
Well Tajammul, i have been teaching Geography at Toppers since 2009, the only debate that i had with Mirza Saleem was to cover the complete course and to give students 5 month counselling that the academies charge for, The Kips The Officers and Toppers have nothing but a status of dating places now.. they charge for 5 months and teach for 2 months only.. the teachers they usually hire are CSP's who have no grip of subject as they themselves have covered these subjects for 2 months,my own student has been teaching Geography at KIPS when waiting for his training. i have gathered a team of motivated teachers at Mentor, we are all professional teachers and have students at our priority. Students get counselling on individual subject basis as we pose no compulsion to study all subjects. These Academies have caused a great trend shift of CSS Aspirants to go for individual coaching.

Mr tajummal ,beside all ur experience of academies i want to correct u regarding fee structure of kips . i dont know when u went to kips . kips strategy is different from all they refund all fees to the student who perform well in weekly test as i am the biggest example of this . as the experience of officers academy yes i believe there are some lacking but still its good enough to guide an average student who doesn't know ABC of css . one thing more CSS is not matric ,FSC, FA, B.A where everything is planned and organized just u have to study and go through the exams . In css everything is planned by urself and this planning makes u different at the day of exams . Its on the personal context of the Aspirant to study in academy or not because everyone has different experience .I find academies good and effective someone like u doesn't so it never ever means academies are bad and there are many reasons for that on the basis of evidence and experience . In the last we have to study by our own self .

Sir then how students are going to feed themselves with directions and proper way to attempt paper? Many of students even do not know this website and books are not enough to manufacture the very orientations.....
40k are of no value for majority students of css as they belong to strong family(my point of view can be wrong, what I have observed)
middle class and lower middle class do not feel css a job to be done ... as they are afraid of so called "sifarishi" system which I think is just lame excuse not to compete.....

Thank you everyone for your comments and supporting my opinion and i would like to conclude that Self study is best formula for css with expert guidance from qualified professors in weaker areas and recomended books of seniors and well reputed authors and practice of past papers is essential. 8-10 hours of study is not compulsory 4-6 hours are enough with fresh mind and conceptual study and the think matters is your performance on day of examination Good luck for CSS 2013
THANK YOU EVERY ONE AND PRAY FOR MY SUCESS IN CSS 2012 and your sucess

MAY ALLAH HELP YOU ALL (AMEN)

Dr.sb, wo kehty hain na k Smart people don't need advice & dull people won't act even if you give them one. Apki baat pe kisi ne amal nahin kiya tha lekin i'm glad to read few of the posts here.

I personally forbade tens of people who asked whether they should join an academy.

At last, Sense prevailed.

Very nice to see you back on forum sir!

Sir although these Academies are minting money. Now my question for you is that is it better to take individual tution from the subject specialist and did u do so? (Especially for Essays and Composition on any other subject)

And i have seen your some notes and study plans on PU photocopy shop. Did u provide them or they have got from somewhere?

I want your suggestions.

Regards
Asif Nawaz Abro

There's absolutely no harm in taking guidance from subject experts/individual teachers particularly in the subjects where you require it the most such as English. I did not go to the individual teachers because there aren't many options here at Islamabad.

Well, this is a piece of news for me. I did not place my notes/study plans at any photocopy shop. Since I had given away all my material to my friends/colleagues who happen to reside in Lahore, they might have done so. In any case, I had made my study plans Public on this forum some four months prior to my first attempt back in Feb-Mar;2011. So, if these plans are serving their purpose, be it here on this forum or at PU Photocopy, until and unless someone does not do cheapness like this [http://www.cssforum.com.pk/off-topic...aib-khan.html], I'll feel contented.

Regards,
