Outline is Optional

In Essay paper one is not required to make an outline of the essay. Its upto the candidate if he/she feels it helpful in writing the essay. Even if someone does not make an outline he/she can just make an iformal outline at the last page of the answer sheet. This will help him/her not to loose the main points of the essay. Another thing which should be kept in mind that if you make an outline at the beginning of the essay and your essay does not proceed according to the outline then it will create a negative impression on the examiner. Outline can also be made at the end of the essay. I think the best approach is to just brainstorm on the topic and make an informal outline at the end of the answer sheet. Write every thing which comes to your mind during brainstorming, arrange it properly. It may take last two pages of the answer sheet. Now when you have done with brainstorming, start writing the essay. During writing whatever additional point comes to your mind, just add it in the informal outline you made at the last page of the answer sheet. This approach will relax your mind and you will not have to pace your essay according to the fixed sequence (Which is not the case in which outline is given in the beginning). I followed this approach and passed the essay paper.

Try to understand the core theme of the Essay topic. Think over its each word and come up with clear conceptual framework. Allocate reasonable time for brainstorming before writing outline. Start jotting down the rough outline at the last pages of the answer sheet. Write outline points by leaving sufficient space in between the points so that you can insert the relevant points which you recall at a later stage.
Rearrange the points in a logical order by assigning numeric symbols to these points.

Reproduce the refined final outline in the beginning of the essay in the paper. If you have technique to leave space between these final outlines do exercise these tricks because you can adjust that outline after you have completely written the essay. You may face problem when there is nothing mentioned in the outline but luckily you recalled some important ideas to write on during the paper and in the continuity of that writing process you can accommodate these points in the already prepared outline having line spaces.

Dear supersonic dexter: Brother RAZ has beautifully laid out strategy for compsing outline. That is the only proven strategy by most candidates.
There may be exceptions, there may be God-gifted minds, who start rightaway writing their essay without sparing last page for rough work on outline making. But, This is really a dangerous thing to write your essay rightaway. you may be thinking that yu know enough about the topic so it is better to write than to think, but i think, you should organize your thoughts on paper from your memory, then write on these.
When you are given three hours for writing essay. spare some of this time for 'brainstorming' or 'freeflow' writing. How much time to spare for activity varies from candidate to candidate. ideally, you should write down all important points on rough paper. I took, usually an hour to compose rough draft and outline!! others have spent half an hour, some spend fifteen minutes. so it is important to spare sometime for tis activity

Why should you spend time for outline?

Dear, essay writing is really test of your skills. Most people find it difficult to write essay, although they can deliver sermons. but when it comes to writing they feel null and void. writing essay in css exam is particularly difficult, because you dont only write an essay, but it has a considerable length. Most candidate seem to do it extempory. Therefore, in my view, you must spend time on necessary part of essay writing, that is, making effective outline. If your outline is effective, consider yourself half pass.[i say half pass, because, in addition to outline, you have to write down meaningful essay.]

best of the luck.
regards

Bunko your outline is too broad. But its very comprehensive and if you are able to elaborate all these points with statistics in the essay, I am sure you would be able to score around 60-70.

My rating = 8/10

floydian

Brother, most respectfully, your outline on the topic: can we avoid ww3? is diverted a little from the topic. The words of the title clearly suggest that, surely after preparing a good background, we must, eventually, answer the question that whether ww3 can be avoided or not? Of course, it would require a detailed analysis of the factors responsible, but this should not be considered sufficient. You must focus on the words of the topic and derive the concentration on your essay from it.
