Default Preparing for CSS in 4 months, possible?

I've just recently decided to appear in the upcoming 2015 examination. I've gone through the optional subjects. I have a few combinations in mind. The thing is that I don't just want to pass, I want to get a position or something close to it. I think I'm a fairly fast learner, and I've been a top student throughout-had a Gold Medal in my BS.
Am I being practical if I'm setting my aim so high? Is it humanly possible for me to secure a good position? Guidance and advice needed please!!!

Most of the aspirants start their preparation from september . If your English is good and you have good strong analytical skills , then you can do it easily in 4 months .

Many officers had prepared in the time span of 4 to 6 months , and they passed .

Best of luck .
