I would say that whereas I am humbled and at the same time thankful to God a thousand times for this success, I am not completely happy at my performance in written. I think, I partly know the reason, especially for the pathetic performance in English Essay paper. I had begun jotting down the text of essay when after writing down two pages, I realized that I had not drawn up the outline. So I veered the essay at that point to include an outline after two pages of text, and then resumed the essay afterwards again. I know, it is a really really strange essay format that I cooked up at that moment (almost ridiculous), but nevertheless the examiner had mercy on me, probably by reading the rest of the essay which I would modestly claim, fared good.
But I got excellent marks in the interview which enabled me to secure a really good merit position. The FPSC confirms me that my interview marks were the highest for CE-2010.

Got motivated from your efforts of CSS preparations!
Thank you so much for providing such a deep insight of your preparation both (written and Interview). I really got motivated by your efforts and you have rightly mentioned that the clarity of purpose is the most important. I have taken CSS-2011 exams and now waiting for the result to be announced, and meanwhile I have started preparing again. But, this time I don't know why I am in very low spirits and can't help myself to prepare with same enthusiasm as I have done earlier. Anyways, your experience and hard work has induced new spirit in me and raised my energy level too. I am very hard working just needs little boosting efforts to start again.

Go to any good bookstore and at the magazine corner you will find journals. The most popular ones are those of Institute of Policy Studies, Institute of Peace Studies, and Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad, Criterion etc.

For my command task, I was appointed as Chairman Karachi Development Authority and I had to deal with illegal use/possession of land reserved for public amenities. Parks and other public spaces were being used for commercial purposes and I along with my team had to get this problem corrected.

I can't recall the exact titles of the topics, but they were on the following lines:
- Had Kalabagh Dam been built, it would have avoid massive destruction from floods. (I took the line in support of the topic, whereas all other 7 people went against it)
- The Pakistani society has deteriorated badly and cannot be corrected [I guess . (Again, I went against the topic, whereas all other 7 people supported this line)

I have detailed my interview here at this link: CSS Forums - View Single Post - Share your experience of 2011 interviews.

I am sorry, but it was a year ago, and I don't seem to recall that.
