Age Trends in CSP
AOA
Dear Friends! I am 25 years old working as a civil engineer in a construction firm. Its a tough job and i need a lot of time for CSS preparation. I will try to attempt all the three chances in coming years. But I am a little concerned about my age. If I succeed in my third attempt, that would mean at an age of 28 years. Is this a right age for a beginner or am I too old now to start? What are usual age trends of CSP Officers? Regards |

One of my university senior appeared in CE-13. At that time he was 26 years old and it was his first attempt, but he made it, he is now allocated in PAAS.

Well on the other hand I am advised not to attempt 2015 because I am of age 21. It is said 24,25 is the best age to attempt css but I wonder and let me ask a question. Can a 21,22 year old candidate not qualify css and be allocated in dream group? what is maturity? I think I am writing that is immaturity right well seniors please answer my question can a 21,22 year old candidate not qualify css and be allocated in dream group?

Those, who advised you not to appear in CE-15, are of the opinion that you are too young for this. You might have good understanding ability but you have time, you should improve yourself. But, there is no harm in giving it a try for better understanding of CE.

the average age of any qualifier for past 4 years has been around 25-26 and if you prepare smartly you can become a part of federal bureaucracy irrespective of age...

I have seen people on this forum getting good groups on their very first attempt when they attempted at the age of 21 and some getting at the age of 28 in their last attempt. Surely its not about age, CSS is an attitude, follow it you will be successful .

This is just a discussion.
Let me ask an other question. There is a candidate who is taking exam at 21 years other is taking at 25,26. First is not very much experienced and mature and other has these equips. Won't it make any difference?

Surely there would be a huge difference, not in terms of age but experience will matter, if he had any, along with proper guidance and ability to do smart work. Without any previous knowledge and experience of CE, both will be on the same level, I.e. Beginner' s level
