Well, there are Doctors and Engineers, who often take an extra paper of English to have an additional degree of BSc; especially for appearing in the Central Superior Service jobs, but its not mandatory. You can appear even without taking that English paper. This paper is often taken by professionals , bcoz some yrs back a sort protest was raised by the humanities and social sciences Graduates that Drs and Engnrs shouldn't be allowed to take CSS exam, for their job is to perform in their own respective lines of profession , i.e medicine and engineering,,,all bcoz Drs and Engnrs use to grab a chunk of CSS posts every year, and it was due to this reason that their entry was sought to be banned in civil services, thats y both Drs and Engnrs take this english paper as a precautionary fall-back in the form of an additional BSc degree. But both Drs and Engnrs are still allowed to appear in CSS even without any Englsih paper and subsequently no additional BSc degree is required, you can still appear with your original MBBS degree, which is fully valid.
