Books for compulsory subjects
Asalam-o-alaikum,
I understand that there is a seperate section devoted to compuslory subjects only. However, since everyone views new posts in discussion forum on regular basis, it will be really handy to have the list of books required for compulsory subjects posted in discussion forum.
I would also welcome any comments, queries or suggestions from other users regarding compulsory subjects.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Saud Riaz

Books for Compulsory
Essay : Read Dawn extensively.Try developing you writing skills by writing an essay with in speculated time atleast once every week.
English Composition and Preci's: Exploring The World of English by Saadat Ali Shah (English Bible for CSS,must be consulted)
along with Wren & Martin (Grammer)
Every Day Science : Encyclopedia of Every Day Science by Dr. Zafar Saeed Chouhadry Published by Bhatti Sons.It covers JUST every thing an examinor may set in E.D.S paper.
Current Affairs: Read Dawn Extensively. Dont rely only on Books and Monthly Magazines. Albeit Dogars Monthly Magazine of current affairs is goog for Objectives.
Please do follow the Economic Survey of Pakistan and the Annual Budget thouroughly.ISSI quarterly, "Strategic Studies" ,may be consulted.
Pakistan Affairs: Bhatti sons, Dogars,Imtiaz Shahids or any book of Pakistan Affairs which covers alpha and omega of Pakistan Affairs. It would be better if the paper of History of Pakistan and India -II is prepared while preparing Pakistan Affairs.
Islamiat : Islami Nazria Hiyat and Islam its Meaning and Message are the ideal books for the preparation of ISlamiat.Dogars Islamiat book in English is translation of Islami Nazria Hiyat.

your Books
Asslamo alikum
English- Exploring the World of English bu Ilmi Kitab Khana
EDS- Advance Every day Science by Imtiaz Shahid
Pak Affairs- Pakistan Affiars by Muhammad Sohail Bhatti.
or by Ikram Rabbani.
However Struggle for Pakistan by Ishtiaq Hussain qureshi togather with Making of Pakistan by KK Aziz are better than all options if u can get them from the market.
I could find and read these two books after exam.
For islamiat Islami Nazaria Hayat (Urdu) plus look for pamphlets / some booklets/ book recently written on contemporary issues.

NIce suggestions by Argus, Ameoba and Tabbasum brother.. But I would like to add for Everyday Science.
For EDS one should also go throgh the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Geography and Biology of 9th to 12th and it will provide almost everything that is being asked in paper of EDS apart from Scientists and Inventions.
