Books for British History :

Beginners Must try :

1- British History at a Glance By Sheikh Muhammad Qayyum

and 2- England Since 1688 By V.D Mahajan

these two are quite sufficient.

Default Books

Assalam-o-alaikum!

For British History:

Paper I :
History of England by Thomas (Available at old book shops)

Paper II:
Modern British History by Norman Lowe

Besides these, also consult the two little books on British History by Southgate. V.D. Mahajan has also copied those books.
Sheikh Qayyum's book helps only after one goes through the syllabus of British History. So do consult Sheikh's book, but only after going through the above mentioned books at least once.

ALLAH HAFIZ!

Do not limit yourself to Qayyum or Mahajan.
I Will Suggest you to study at least the following so that you can get extra marks in the subject:
1. British History by P.C. Thomas.
2. British History by Bridshall Vault
3. British history by Edwards
4. Mastering B. History by Norman Lowe & the most important one if u can get
5. History of England and the Common Wealth by Walter P. Hall.

Then you must prepare your own notes.

best of luck.

what I think is that you should go for soutgate initially and then read P C Thomas. these two books are enough.
Moreover, solve the past papers of five years
you will need Norman Lowe's book to find the answers of certain questions not touched in the above mentioned two books.
