I agree with the post above and would like to add that an AC at 50 degree Celcius is not a luxury, its a necessity. And the person who started this thread was not demanding an official AC, he was merely asking whether one can arrange it on his own?

Secondly an AC is in no way a hindrance to "serving people". An officer sitting in a comfortable room is sure to be in a better frame of mind to deal with people compared to one who has sweat dripping down his face.

Thirdly, as someone pointed out that millions of Pakistanis dont even have a fan in their homes so the Civil servants, as a symbol of unity should bear the heat with them. My friend may I point out that those millions also dont have official cars, official guards, official servants, official houses spread across acres etc. So how about the ultimate gesture of unity and shunning all these official privileges to be at the same level as the masses?

bureaucrats ve to do the office work n wt the politicians direct they obey bcz of non-interference in politics. it's upto politicians to change the fortune of country not bureaucrates. thnx to thm who r stil faithful to country, they don't ve foreing accounts (mostly).

none of thm ve aeroplanes nor they spent billions on foreign tips.

do they follow whateva politicians say irrespective of wehter it is in the interest of state or not? duh! i think one should be able to draw the margin between what is and what is not in the favor of pakistan. Fine ntehy don't understand this but YOU do as you temme you are trained to deal with tought situations

having said taht, i also believe not every politician is that bad. some are good but majority is corrupt.
