Secondly, the subjects which you might have studied before joining the Civil Service has no effect, whatsoever on the service/group you fall into. You will be trained from scratch for your service. Thirdly, for girls, every service of the 12 occupational groups is a good one, except those which have a lot of public interaction like DMG and PSP. A better choice would be Commerce & Trade Group, Information Group, Accounts, Postal etc.

...go for any group u like.......cos its my experience that girls serving even in PSP and DMG are accommodated in a different and much better way.....my batch mate DMG girls are not to serve their initial service period outside their provinces of domicile, just like boys have to, and same goes true for PSP fellows,,,,and in Finance services also girls are preferred over guys in terms of choice of posting....in IRS and customs first girls are accommodated in major urban centres of their choice and then remaining seats are filled with boys..... thats how it takes . . . .
and there is no need of any backgorund to thrive in any occupational grp....just work hard |

I have yet to join the service in field, so can't really comment on that aspect. However, try to be in top 50~60 merit positions in Competitive Examination to be able to secure DMG as your choice group.

i dnt belong to b.family tahira....our common training is starting tmw IA.....females are still a minority in DMG.. but its gud career to pursue.. subjects selection depends on ur educational background,ur interests n recent marking trend of that subject.
