DOs and DON'Ts of CSA for 40th Common Training Programme

Following are some general DOs and DONTs for 40th CTP. You are welcome to ask any specific query.

DOs
• Read the notice board regularly
• Be clear and specific about the new routine and schedule
• Add all your additional directors on facebook
• Read the reading material/handouts before going to the class
• Participate actively in class
• Participate in all sporting activities
• Relax in areas where you can for the time being
• Social adjustment is important. Having friends and being able to get along make a big difference
• Attend all the social events, dinners, festivals, nights etc.
• DO follow the CSA rules. You might not think that the rules are fair (e.g biometric attendance), but its not worth getting in trouble..and mind you CSA authorities WILL penalize you for any violation whatsoever
• Be yourself and have fun with your life; people will love you for it
• Try and make your classes fun, without getting into trouble
• Do sleep in the auditorium and classes when feeling sleepy
• Do take notes in the class
• Do visit the offices of ADs and CTP director occasionally
• Do prepare well your presentations and assignments

DONTs
• Do not give your secrets to anyone..trust only yourself
• DON'T get shuffled into a clique
• Don’t volunteer for any leadership role in any activity unless you are assigned such a role, or you will regret it dearly
• Don’t indulge in arguments with faculty or fellow probationers
• Do not forget to lock your room while going out
• Don’t date a fellow probationer inside CSA..or you’ll ruin your reputation
• Don’t show any notions to faculty member..be very humble and friendly.
• Don’t try to be dictatorial when given leadership role..be very very very nice and friendly with other members.
• Don’t copy and paste the book review..try to write it in your own words
• Don’t take lightly any warning (aka threat) given by authorities..they will sort you out if you play with them
• Don’t be rude to room attendents, guards, sweepers and other staff
• Don’t forget to text your AD in the night, if you plan to skip the first session the next day
• Don’t exhaust you leave account before CST
• Don’t argue with CTP Director or DG..or they’ll make your life hell
• Don’t forget to shave
• Don’t get caught using cell phone in classes or auditorium..because they’ll not only confiscate but also check your personal data…so be very careful in this regard

Best wishes to all 40th commoners.

how many people sare a room in csa.??

Hamza Salick Sunday, June 24, 2012 03:45 PM

If you are lucky, you will leave CSA unblemished and undisturbed..If you are unlucky, you will be punished even if you haven't put a foot wrong.CSA is all about personal whims and arbitrary decisions. You will see it for yourself.Prepare yourself for the heights of injustice and discrimination.

Two probationers per room. Do not fight, rather adjust your differences with troublesome roomy :)

No issues with keeping beard or moustache.

I had 17 violations but never visited DG's office..whereas, a fellow officer had only 9 violations and he was interviewed by the DG twice. You'll get plenty of time for socializing and party within and outside the CSA walls..things will get relaxed after the term break..so initally you need to be careful as the faculty and administration would be keen on detecting the spoil brats..once identified, the suspects will be under strict observation for any kind of violations... in other words sword of democles will then hang on their heads till the end of CTP. So its better to avoid trouble and not become victim of csa administration's arbitrary decisions (as my mate Hamza Salick says).

Current CTP Director Shahid Gul Qureshi is a strict disciplinarian. And don't be surprised agar wo personally ap k room ma chaapa maar dein agr un ko pta chalay k ap ne class bunk ki ha.. don't be surprised if he confiscates your cell phone along with sim card and return it at the ent of ctp..and don't be surprised if he makes you go back to your room to shave and then penalise you for missing the class..don't be surprised if he detains you with morning pt and assignment on weekends for some petty violation like two seconds late on biometric. If you search for trouble then trouble will surely come to you and upset you. If you want smooth sailing and chill programme, then all you have to do is to be punctual and dress properly and give respect to faculty..and then you can sleep in class..you can sing in class..you can dance in class..and you can watch movie in class.. you can use internet in class.. you can have gossips in class..whatever you want to do. So try to have a balanced approach.
