Not really. It is a memorable experience in itself. I enjoyed a lot with my own circle of friends and still am happy with it.

I have already said such cases are rare but they do exist. Plus, this is my experience. Others have the right to differ.

And at the end of the day, you have all sorts of people everywhere so you just cant expect it to be perfect.

Well the picture is not that gloomy my dear juniors and fellows :p
Amin Sir, apne dara dia hay juniors ko :p
This post of mine intends to encourage you all and boost your morale so you enter the gates of CSA relaxed and confident.

For the ones working already in an official set-up this might be easy or monotonous, for other young newbies coming right after the completion of their masters or bachelors this is going to be new indubitably.

Ummm... Starting with graded activities. We had field work, community work, country study tour (the govt pays a lot for you to learn about your country, so enjoy but let the purpose fulfilled too), and now the military attachment. Of all things, common in all these activities is Presentation giving. They will make you perfect at this (There is no other option otherwise, so better bear with it :p)

You will get a chance to play games (if you are sporty), if you arent, they will make you play even then
A swimming pool is a blessing in summers, which male probationers will enjoy. Female probationary officers wont. We tried our best to request the administration to allow us to avail this at another campus, but it was almost the end of CTP already. So, didnt materialize.

The MESS isnt a mess at all
For breakfast you will have bread, butter, jam, tea of course, and parathas on two week days. Saturday and Sunday will be a heavy brunch if you like that. But the question arises how many people deviate from this monotonous naashta? So this aint that bad for a free messing facility that you avail here You get to have a tea break with snacks at the mess after your first class.
Your MMC that is the mess management committee will decide your menu. You can always convey your message or wishes to your colleagues in the MMC for a change in the menu depending upon the budget.

Coming towards a sensitive issue i.e. your colleagues. Which multi national org or public sector institute doesnt have people who are back stabbers, or are the never-jealous types? or are not insincere to the core, or not dishonest in their approach towards work and their fellows to some extent? Or not interested in their own benefit and advantage? You will have to deal with such people as you are the front players in policy making and dealing with the state affairs. You should know how to manage such colleagues of yours because the game aint that neat and fair in later years of your service too! You will have to be at the helm of affairs, and deal with all kinds of countrymen during service, so why not learn it here only as the first rung of this long ladder?
You should be able to put your best foot forward in the presence of such people come what may. And when you give your best, they wouldnt be able to hurt you in any way rest assured. Making friends is never the aim of such training programmes. You have to unlearn, learn and re learn in places like this. So focus on your aim. And not on people's behaviour. However, if you find awesome friends that is a blessing indeed. But otherwise, never shun from socializing, that is the basic aim of your CTP.

CSA provides you all an excellent chance to learn about your fellow countrymen from all over Pakistan. It makes you know the cultural diversity of your motherland. You get to hear different languages and diverse ways of living by socializing here with your fellows.
As far as the mess and cultural nights are concerned, they are fun But I'd say that its best to enjoy by not hurting your colleagues and at the same time have the guts to take jokes in your stride. After all, poise is what you should possess to be good officers.

In the end, I'd just say, have fun, make the most out of this CTP. Your common is your family. You feel a special kind of association with your common fellows And dont worry about studies. You will be able to pass with a little sincere effort as you have passed the CSS exam and you can handle pressure very well

Its not scary bro. Its a good thing. I explained facts with pros and cons in quite detail and Madam Madiha summarized the stuff. .

Nonetheless, we both shared our personal experiences at CTP and rest 215 might have their own. I said it at the start of my comments, based upon by 5 yrs of experience spread over Private, Multi National, Semi Government and Government sector.

Khair, CTP is not that scary. It is a nice time but my advice is to stay happy, composed and decisive enough regarding when to ignore and when to respond. .

For rest, we are always there .

Naah Not scared :P Actually my whole academic life, right from the class 1 till the day i graduated, passed dealing with what you called 'anti-lobbies' and I
thought that's over. Someday you get tired of giving others a taste of their own medicine Well considering such things at this stage- I haven't even passed written yet- is a bit of stretch so i had better worry about other stuff!

Dear, this is a part of life. In fact, professional life is more prone to such things.

Rather than responding to every comment/act, its better to focus on your work and prove your worth. People will only be jealous if they consider you are worth something.
