Search in the relevant section of each group to get an idea of the nature of work. In short, most of the office/desk based jobs are to put up files to your higher ups and carrying out orders flowing down from top. It is simply not possible to write down the job description of officer of each group at one place given the fact that there are lot many places where an officer of a particular group can be posted having different job description and work requirement.
To give you an idea, let us pick group written at 1st place i.e. the Commerce and Trade Officer. Now he can be posted either at the Ministry, or TDAP or any other attached organization of Ministry or even as Commercial Counselor abroad. His roles and responsibilities vary according to his place of posting. For example if he is posted in the Foreign Trade Wing in the Ministry then his/her job is to process relevant files and undertake meetings, negotiations, liaison etc. with his assigned region. Holding meetings, preparing briefs, summaries, generating reports taking notes etc. some of the skills needed to carry out your job once posted in the ministry.

Aoa,
Sir quoting your message just to get the attention actually what I wanted to ask was that if an officer is adamant and process things smartly can he really bring the change?

can he bring the change coordinating with his fellows in other cadres?

To what extent the autonomy lies? to what level they contribute in policy making? what is their influence from very basic grades?

Can you please comment on this irrespective of any cadre because I believe many CSPs would have wonderful ideas there must be a way where they can share and help each other.

Thank You.

P.S: I made a separate post about it but got no replies.
