@Moderators STP Sub-Forum

It is requested that "Create New Thread/Start New Topic" option in this sub-forum should only be allowed to Moderators of the forum because there are 10 service group and there should be only one thread for each group + a common thread which is there (i.e. Query about STP of service groups).

This action is necessary because otherwise this sub-forum will become a mess and finding information regarding any specific group will not be easy.

And my request is that new thread started by respected mr. zeeshansaleem of query about asp salary/tarining should be moved to "STP of PSP" thread.

There are total 9 threads existing for 10 service groups. Only a new thread "STP of Commerce & Trade Group" is to be made. So my request to moderators in this regard is that Create the last thread "STP of Commerce & Trade group" and then the option to create a new thread in this forum should only be allowed to Moderators of the forum and rest all queries should be directed to respective thread in this forum.

According to FPSC Annual Report 2005 Part II(AR-05-II) Page 10:-

There were 140 probationers appeared in 2004 in FPOE and out of it 42 candidates eventually failed the FPOE exams i.e. 30% probationers failed in FPOE in 2004.

And in 2005 there were total 172 probationers & out of it 16 failed the FPOE where result of 46 candidates was still awaited when the report was published.
+Accordint to AR-05-II Page 29 the failed candidates in FPOE conducted during 2005 were from:-
Foreign Service Group: Failed 3
Postal Group: Failed 4
Information Group: Failed 4
Railways Group: Failed 2
District Management Group: Failed 1
Customs & Excise Group: Failed 2

Result still awaited: 46
Failed: 16
Passed: 108


How hard is FPOE & why so many candidates are not able to pass it (any specific or general reason). +Was there any candidate in recent past who was unable to pass FPOE in all 3 attempts & was withdrawn from civil service?

Kindly give some feedback on the above issue.

Assalam-o-alaikum!

FPOE takes place immediately after the completion of STP. It is obligatory to qualify FPOE within 3 attempts, for CONFIRMATION in the service.

Why probationers fail.....

Well, FPOE is really tough. There are usually 8-12 papers (varies among occupational groups).....one paper a day......and everything covered during the STP is included....Problem yeh hoti hai k STP is usually 8 months long....and course ka burden buhat ziyada hota hai....covering 10-12 subjects in 8 months and then appearing for a comprehensive FPOE...it is just like another CSS !

Other reasons vary from person to person......some people don't concentrate; some consider k 3 options hain...pass kar hi lain gay...etc etc.

Usually people do qualify it within 3 attempts.....because, an unlucky probationer doesn't have to repeat all the papers....sirf wohi subjects repeat kartay hain jo last time pass nahi kar sakay thay.
As far as i Know, there has been no such case where a probationer was fired for not making it within the allowed attempts!

Aoa,smone may please post sm fresh input abt FSP.I ve been allocated to FSP through 2007-css,therefore,need sm fresh info abt it.

I would like to ask CSPs specially those who belong to DMG group to plz provide information about DMG group and life of DMG officer:


STP subjects that are studied in DMG academy?
Facilities provided in academy?
Pay in academy?
Study tours during STP?
Possible positions at which officer appoined after Pay and facilities after STP or during services?
Courses offered/degrees to officers during service(offered to every officer ?)

One can share information regarding carrier and service of DMG ,other than topics mentioned above.
