Hello and AoA

Sorry to say but i think you have been mis guided here :-).

Customs and Excise or Pakistan Customs ( as it is envisaged to become in future ) is any time better than PAAS. There are multiple reasons for this such as better job description, Place of Posting , working enviornment basically everything.

Your second argument doesnt convince either. The only way a PAAS member become an EDO F&P is that he is called on Deputation to the Province and then made EDO F&P. Therefore if anyone is so much interested to become andl EDO he can always come on Deputation from Customs and Excise group :-).

Rest is your personal preference.

Just to give an idea.
In 37th common last person to get Allocated in C&E from Punjab was at merit no 85 and the Last Person to be Allocated to PAAS from Punjab was at merit no 193

Regards

However, after the separation of Excise and sales tax from customs it is not that demanding group any more. I have come across several people who have put IRS above customs. I know that the topic here doesnt include the comparison of IRS and customs but i just felt like expressing it. It is partly because i dont know much about PAAS. I would rather ask some respectable member of this from who is from PAAS to shed some light on the issue

promotion wise PAAS is way quicker den customs...after the formation of IRS customs would hve more slower promotions.

Why don't we come to the point straight and say that the margin of corruption is quite high in customs as compare to that of in PAAS. Mulk kee khidmat to her group mein kee jasakti hai
"The demand of customs has decreased after seperation of Sales and excise tax". This sentence concludes the whole methodology behind our thought process.

i think as far as salary and perks and privalages r concerned customs is better than audit n accounts
whereas in terms of promotions audit n accounts is better.
