Default omg or mlcg

I think omg is better than mlcg because promotion in omg is rapid than mlcg.

Please prior to posting check the rules of Govt. of Pakistan.

From BPS-17 to 21, the promotions are regulated by the Civil Servants Act, 1973 and Civil Servants Rules 1974. A minimum of five years of service is required for promotion from BPS-17 to BPS-18; 12 years for BPS-19; 17 years for BPS 20; and a total of 22 years for promotion to BPS-21.

Service requirement for promotions:-

From 17 to 18: 5 years
From 18 to 19: 7 years (total 12 years)
From 19 to 20: 5 years (total 17 years)
From 20 to 21: 5 years (total 22 years)
From 21 to 22: It is discretionary power of Chief Executive and now a days under fire after the decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan. It is said that these promotions shall be made on the basis of seniority.

http://www.jang.com.pk/thenews/may20...5-2010/spr.htm

8-A. No promotion on regular basis shall be made to posts in basic pay scales 17 to 22 and equivalent unless the officer concerned has completed such minimum length of service, attended such training and passed such departmental examination, as may be prescribed from time to time.

Defence Division Govt of Pakistan

P.S: Promotion is subject to the availaibility of posts in the concerned group or department. For Example in PMS from 17 to 18 it takes 20 years whereas in DMG it takes 5 years to be promoted from 17 to 18. It depends on departmental structure etc.
