Smile Education in FSP

I know FSP officers are trained in various subjects at FSA but what are the prospects of one going for Diplomacy, IR and other related courses abroad? Does everyone eventually get trained at institutes abroad if not then who does what is the criteria and at what level/grade/years of service one can expect that?

I am not asking about language courses here.

Thank You

Default Studying Abroad in FSP

Dear Aspirant,

Foreign Service of Pakistan provides ample opportunities to study abroad starting from the very first year of joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. What ever field you want to pursue for your Masters Degree or PhD, as long as it is some what relevant to the service, you are allowed to study it abroad. This is not exclusive to FSP only, rest of the service groups also get Scholarships and ample opportunities to study abroad as well.
Many of our seniors have completed their Masters Degrees from quite well reputed Universities/Institutes abroad.you also have the option to seek admission to Universities of your choice or secure scholarships on your own and can go for higher studies. Two of my colleagues have gone abroad in the recent past, one on Commonwealth Scholarship and other on Chevening Scholarship program to UK. Why do people from FSP go abroad for scholarships more often than other services is a matter of priority, permission and future prospects.

Hi sir. I am interested in joining the FSP and doing a Masters in Theater after that. Obviously, it is a bit more difficult to link to the service as compared to other degrees. I would like to hear your opinion, on the basis of your experience in FSP, on how likely it is that I can pursue that option.

Thank you!
