If we will not get these simple facilities then what is difference between simple 17 Scale Post and CSP 17 Scale Post except Police and DMG. “As you say that in FSP you will not get Car and House and Salary equal to general Salary of 17 Scale Post.” Do you know any FSP Officer who in 17 Scale or Any authentic Information about anyone because at the start of this Thread Mr. Zain (who in FSP) said very different from you. I don’t know you are right or he is right.

Foreign Service diplomats are paid very handsomely when they are abroad and when they are abroad they are given a very nice car and an apartment too. Once back in Pakistan they have accumulated enough money to buy a car themselves. A relative of mine is in the foreign service but I think he is retired now.

Ok but I just want to ask you that if he will be given a flat or room OR he rent it on his behalf when he is in 17 Scale. And do you know when the Medical Test, Psychological Test and Interview will be held after the Written Examination Result and When Final Result will be held and When CTP will be started and what is the mean of 38th CTP or 39th CTP.

He will be given a small flat I think. And I don't know when these Tests will be held.
The 38th batch's common training program was known as the 38th CTP

The merit number depends on your domicile. Since punjab generally has the toughest competition i would say you should be in the first 50 candidates from punjab to be on the safe side, although allocations have been made as far low as 70 even. The story is the same for the rest of domiciles.

Total seats on average used to be around 25 over the past few years, but i would suggest you keep the number 20 in mind over the coming years and then do the math. 10 to punjab and an average of 2 each for rest of the domiciles and assuming that PAS and PSP are generally placed higher on average then that should give you an idea of where you should be according to your domicile.

A piece of advise, and although i know its natural to fret about these things, for the time being give it your best, prepare as well as you possibly can and beyond, and then pray for a favorable outcome.

Yes there is a difference. In DMG you meet common people with their problems. Here also you also meet common people with their problems but on a less extend. Mainly you meet with diplomats of other countries, foreign delegations, your ex Pakistani community abroad and that is where your role gets even tougher. Each and every word spoken from your mouth will count as the words of Pakistan and printed in media as such. Consider such a scenario where you have to deal media and so many people asking you confusing questions regarding policies of your country. And when u are posted abroad , i need not to say how important you role becomes. You are the Pakistan outside Pakistan for the people of that country and every time you have to deal with a lot of people. All the entertainment allowance given to you there is for the same reason.. so this is as far as you consider that you don't have public dealings...
Normally task of postings and language are dealt with a seprate department and they consider merit mostly other then your own preferences. yes for language they do ask the probationery officers but u can see all will adopt for french or spanish so mostly its merit. Same holds good for posting, they post you according to your merit and rotations in world. Yes to some extend your own will can also matter since its not a large service and compromise can be reach but it depends on the situtation and vacancies.
Thirdly, honestly i don't really know the A, B , C and X,Y,Z missions. but i have heard it is with respect to importance of a country with regard to Pakistan. for e.g USA will be a category A country for Pakistan, Saudi Arabia may be B, and Zimbabwe as C. Depends. Also X, Y ,Z catergories are as per the facilities available in that country, like USA will be category A and zimbabwe as Z...
regards
VERY INFORMATIVE SIR. thank you. but there is a question haunting me very badly.are gals harrassed there as well? as i dnt expkt it from such ppl who are the cream of their societies. n is it safe for a gal to live alone? means is there any chance regarding harrasment or something like that?

please do ans soon!
thanks in advance.....

Subjects have no effects over your group selection. It is only and only meirt which decides your group according to your preferences.
