Postings in IG?

Hello.

I have read that information group officers are posted in PID, ABC, etc. All these are located in Islamabad. Does that mean all IG postings are in Islamabad or are they posted in other cities as well?
And is accomodation/residence given if outside of Islamabad?

If any member of IG group could guide on this it would be helpful.
