Which is more better in perks & privileges; AC IRS or AC (CCE/PCS). I am told one must go for AC (CCE)?

Dear, it depends upon your priorities. AC (CCE) is immensely powerful post but authority comes along with responsibilities. He is Taluka Education Officer, he has to maintain law and order, flood reliefs, in census he is responsible. It is a 24/7 job. AC (CCE) has a lot of responsibilities because their contribution to society is direct. But you know....................

They are appointed as AC Ex-PCS and retire as Secretary.

AC (IRS) has around 70-80k starting salary, GP number plate car, driver fuel. They have only interaction with mostly business community. Additionally, IRS CSPs have rapid promotions and second best career prospects. Additionally, nowadays a lot of emphases is being given on taxation and Al-Hamdulilah FBR has achieved its 3.6 trillion target.

What about the perks & privileges of AC CCE? Do they get vehicle, house, driver etc?

Yes, they do get govt. house, Cultus car with , driver, personally selected commando guard.

It is true bureaucracy. Additionally after getting promoted their BS-19 they can join PAS (DMG) through a FPSC exam.

Executive magistracy is not implemented in Sindh (It is implemented in KPK). AC is empowered for Price Controlling, visits to schools, colleges and hospitals and ensuring the presence of staff there.

Then AC CCE is far better than that of IRS. Thank you so much for your detailed reply and made my mind clear.
