during STP of IRS in lahore, family accomodation facility is available or not??

well wd admins' permision, one can avail this facility,,, atleast this is wat i observed in case of a colleague, during my stay at DOT

abdullah bhai are you from IRS? i have placed it over PCS and i think i will get allocated in IRS? can you please tell me that how do you view IRS as a group? i am from lahore , can i get posting in lahore also. and what about small stations ? do we get accommodation and conveyance there? bhai a detailed reply from your side regarding the scenario after STP will be highly appreciated.

yes, frm irs
its even wid customs... in some respects its customs and in others its IRS... in the short run customs is better, like official car, protocol, better workplace etc... but in the long run IRS is good, like promotion prospects, more social recognition, much wider scope of exposure to fiscal management of pakistan etc

yes u can get posted in lahore , its difficult to get accommodation and conveyance in bigger cities for grade 17 officers,,, though at smaller RTOS its available, like iam at RTO islamabad and i have official car, and fuel limit upto 6000.

is islamabad considered a small city ? like you mention that in bigger cities vehicle is difficult to get , but you have a vehicle in ISB.
do you also have accommodation in Isb?

well to be more precise... u can say the probability of gettting an office car is inversely proportional to the size of the field formation of IRS :D

RTO islamabad is a small RTO... but RTO pindi and LTU islamabad are included in major field formations of FBR, so there officers in 17 face difficulty in getting govt vehicles....
if u are posted in RTO lahore u will not get official car for sure, but if u are posted to some mufassil area of RTO lahore like Sheikhupura or Qasoor tu then u will definitely get govt car and may be residence as well. . . i don't have govt residence though, as is the case wid many other civil servants in islamabad, be it any occupational group. . .

ok abdullah bhai , it would be better if we could talk in person. can i have ur email , mine is available in the profile. many people are saying that i have made a big mistake by putting IRS over PCS. although i thought that in the long run , IRS is better than PCS , since two functions of PCS have been given IRS now. so just wanted to clear some fears before finally joining:)

How have you passed PCS? although i tried but could not manage to get information about PCS :(
