Omer Bhai as the saying goes that in near future IRS will outshine the customs.So bearing the same in mind i preferred IRS over Customs...Baqi,future will unfold the reality whether or not my decision was rational.......

Dont worry all. Every service has its challenges,pros and cons. Don't expect to be a "royal" in any of the css groups. As far as I know, the ones who kepts IRS as their forth preference were right. PCS does have more charm (officery) in grade 17 and 18 but IRS outshines (even now) in above grades. IRS is still in the phase of infancy. Hope by the time we join the field force, IRS would have been a great service.
