Military Lands & Cantonments Group

The Military Lands & Cantonment Department is headed by the Director General, Military Lands & Cantonments. He is followed in hierarchy by an Additional Director General, assisted by five Regional Directors (i.e. Karachi, Quetta, Lahore Rawalpindi & Peshawar). They in turn are followed by Cantonment Executive Officers and Military Estates Officers.

The domain of the executive officers extends to cantonments in which they perform municipal and quasi-judicial functions. The executive officers have to generate the funds by levying different taxes/charges.

Each cantonment board is headed by a President Cantonment Board who is a serving armed forces officer and the cantonment executive officer is the Secretary of the Board

Its a very good department and those who serve in it enjoy lots of facilities in it.You are provided with a good house, car and plenty of servants. As far as powers are concerned, it enjoys vast powers. the only drawback of this department is the slow promotion..but who cares...quality of life matters not promotion, I have met people from income tax and accounts who were dying to get deputation in this department. And frankly speaking I hate to be sort of a CSS officer in BS-19 without banglow and servants.MLCG is best for a person like me who lives in present and want to enjoy these facilities in my youth.
Yeh kia k 20 grade main jain gay to yeh enjoy kerain gay...Kia pata kal ho k na ho..so keeping in view this I placed at no 4 in my preferences much higher than ITG and PAAS.
I hope I am going to get it with merit no 120.

Default hmmm

srevice in mlc is no doubt very lucrative for a youngster.but, this job ends from the stage it starts.this job does not make difference with juniors.promotion gives much incentive during service.look at financial powers in billions, mobility, and influence in irs nd accounts.more, officers in PAAS can go on deputations and move horizontally like foriegn office accounts or audits, military, wapda, railway nd enjoy all these facilities. .all depends on circumstances nd desires u prefer.
